Doea anyone know the forscan codes for 2014 MY to disable bms/smartcharging?
Also looking for recommendations on battery type setting, whatever the largest AH setting is considering i have added 140ah of aux batts in the trunk besides the front batt which is an agm xspower d6500.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum section, wasn't sure the most appropriate area

I'm not sure if it works I think smart charging is off by default or the so th code looks like it
But you can find the code in f150 spreadsheet

Could be placebo but since I turned on smart charging seems that battery actually charges now but also turned down when my dash cam turns off when the battery is lower then 12.5 volts instead of 12 volts
My ctek battery monitor has been saying battery around 80% instead of 60
Before would stay lower (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170702/45a3e4d84e27459bee9777580e369f5e.jpg)

The way i am understanding it, its on and i want it off. Im assuming that our codes don't matchup with the ones in the f150 spreadsheet. Sync 3 vs sync2? I'm not really sure what dictates if codes will match or not from one car to the next

Thanks zsho, but I didn't see anything in there. Been through DanMc spreadsheet and the f150 one, its just not panning out. What i need to figure out is how to look at what flipping different bits actually do. Is there a way i can look at the actual code/config changes that take place each time i increment a value, or just change it and poke around the cars' interface manually? There has to be some backend access. How did dan come up with a list of supported batteries, how do you know that without seeing the data populated somewhere.

The table function/area in forscan looks neat for figuring out. I think this is that backend area access. It will show me the value of the battery if i tell it thats one of the values i want to read from the module. So I can use this to trial and error bitflips. I hope the bms on/off bit will continue to be on the same memory block with the battery type. Because I seem to be able to display that. So if I can find the block that changes that, in theory the next two bits i think will be the bms on/off switch.

just confirmed our bcm locations are different. Since I had my vin and these spreadsheets show where the vin is located for the other cars(726-09-01 starting), I decided to see where the BCM memory location for vin is on my Taurus,
It pretty much is in a totally different spot:
1 F A H P 2 K T 6 E G 1 1 2 7 2 7
31 46 41 48 50 32 4b 54 36 45 47 31 31 32 37 32 37
BCM 726-42-01 3146 4148 50C0
BCM 726-42-02 32A3
BCM 726-43-01 4B54 3645 47D2
BCM 726-43-02 31A3
BCM 726-44-01 3132 3732 3775
and my tire size is at 726-45-01, whereas the spreadsheet has 726-12-01, or also following right after the lines of the VIN
Send me your vin and ill see if I can help.

Yeah that was a oversight on my part but at least we got it squared away.
Glad to hear you were able to turn the (BMS) OFF. :)
