Will the computer adjust for the higher octane and increased AFR?

To get the power gains you need to have a tune made for it.
13' SHO, Non-PP, Tuned by Torrie, Meth injection, 3 bar, 170* stat, custom axle back exhaust, Prosport Boost gauge.
15' F150 Lariat Sport, all the options, 3.5L Eco. (fiancée ride.)
13' GTCS, will be missed.

Agree with Wassinger,you need a tune cause the ECU controls every aspect  of the engines operation and in order for the Meth to work accordingly,you have to get a new compatible revised tune.

For meth, probably not.  The ECU will make automatic adjustments between the different common octanes of pump gas but that is about it.

Is the tune expecting a fixed percentage of methanol?

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

The tune was for 91 Octane with a 3 Bar. I am seeing 18.3 psi of boost.
I was running the 50/50 WM for safety and it ran better without the WM.

Something isn't right if you run better without it, are you tuned for meth?

Anytime you add w/m without a tune you lose power. It's still safe but you are not tuned for the improvement in air temp or octane.

Forgive my ignorance on this matter, but if one uses and adds meth injection, does it run all the time? Or is it only sprayed at WOT?

Would love to have the extra performance but simplicity is key. I am not at the track often and have no plans on being any type of racer. But if Im correct, the meth adds roughly 50 hp and 60 ftlb torque right? Which would take MY 4plus tuned car to <450 hp> and <445 ft lbs>? Im guessing at numbers.

All this for about $1000?

You can install a toggle switch by the dashboard for convenience and have the ability to turn it on when needed and off,and need a new revised tune to get all the benefits from it,and shoudnt be on all the time.

Also depending on the tune and type of water meth controller your injection kit uses. Cheap kits run when are certain boost point is reached.   Not sure exactly what all the different kits for this platform offer. But other kits for other platforms can turn on and off based on intake temp, exhaust temp, injector duty cycle, load or rpm.  It really is like having a reserve of power for passing or the track yet still doesn't need to be used all the time.

So unless you spend all your time at the track, this is better set up for average lead foot. IF I installed, I would want the headache of an on/off switch. That would seemingly mean you have to stop and load tune before running. But on tap extra power (like turbo) is great.

Anyone in SoCal have installed? I would like to see hear and of course price out my options. Thanks for the answers guys. Good stuff. Good help!
