Yankee candles are pretty sweet.

But that's a topic outside of the scope of the OP's thread/title.

Alas I digress.

I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other but my guess is that those who have had a bad experience with the duster didn't follow instructions.   When it is new, it should be set aside to DRY for a couple of days or so.  Otherwise, it could leave "wax" marks on the car.   Secondly, one should use a LIGHT touch when dusting....with just the tips touching the surface.   Thirdly, shake it frequently to rid it of the dust that was picked up.   Last, only use it for DUST or POLLEN....NOT for DIRT.

As I said before, I only use it when my cars are freshly waxed and slick.   I have had no ill effects but I am neither recommending it nor am I saying it is the devil in disguise.

So what I am hearing.... is just the tip, just for a second, ya know... just to see how it feels?

Seriously I do appreciate the info. Thank you.

FYI I found the Cali Mop does not work well with moisture especially in high humid conditions which ultimately will scratch your paint! I would avoid it IMO!  Z

Bruce, I bet I could find some marks left by the CaliDuster....I have also found that the cheap Wal-Mart microfibers will damage the finish compared to the high quality super soft like those from Adam's.  Like Todd, the cheap microfibers are best used once and then make a direct trip to the garbage!
