Title: New from the Puget sound Washington area
Post by: 2013SHOpp on February 23, 2023, 02:58:53 AM
Bought a 13 sho pp in 2013 and have had it ever since. Been an awesome car. Recently I just did the water pump and it's been a struggle ever since. So now I'm here to gain some knowledge.

welcome. post pics! and details of mileage at the time of issue occurence, symptoms, attempted fixes, and actual parts replaced during water pump replacement job. helpful to also have info on your driving conditions and maintenance routine.

normally we tell people to replace the water pump, timing chain, tensioners, and vct solenoids all at the same time. generally the oil pump continues to work fine unless of course there has been serious delay in fixing the issue.  using oem/motorcraft parts are the best way to go, though cloyes and other reputable manufacturers may have kits available.
