Title: Could the Final Drive Ratio in 2010 Lincoln MKS really be 3.07?
Post by: Cru ss n on January 02, 2020, 10:41:12 AM
Hello, I just purchased a 2010 Lincoln MKS Ecoboost and I noticed it shows "4A" for the axle code on the door sticker.  From my research, it appears that is a 3.07 ratio.  Could it really have a 3.07 ratio when all of the SHOs are either 2.77 or 3.16?

Thanks
Brian

According to the FSM indentification, no, it's a 2.77 (http://www.nicksmustangranch.com/Service_Manuals/2011/2011_MKS/Resources/Service_Manual/sbh01001.htm#extract_12 (http://www.nicksmustangranch.com/Service_Manuals/2011/2011_MKS/Resources/Service_Manual/sbh01001.htm#extract_12))

great, thanks.  I had seen this chart before and I assumed the 4A was the same as 4.

Axle Ratio
1 = 2.77
2 = 3.16
3 = 3.39
4 = 3.07
