thanks man! Seems like with only 17K miles, anything else would require completely killing ANY chance of keeping warranty in tact.

Nice Job!

I see you removed the passenger seat, this is something I considered doing for the track as well! Did you just disconnect the battery, remove the seat, reconnect battery and run or were there any issues with the SRS system?

Thanks!

Any reason you left the back seats in (probably track rules I'm guessing)

The back seats don't really weigh anything, and removing the seat was just a large plug and 4 bolts. Airbag sensor stayed on until plugged back in.

Thanks! Really fun season with the car! From where I started at least to now, has been a blast! I guess I need to try lightweight wheels next?

Awesome, thanks!

I plan to get some drag wheels at some point (GT500 welds or similar) and gut the interior a bit, once I have all the mods done and am going for all out times.

Congrats again on this awesome achievement reaching 11's on stock turbos without the use of meth! I had a feeling you or Rich would reach this goal before the end of the season and looks like you were the first.

I'd say if you are willing to take 1 seat out, empty the interior...

You stated before the car was tuned on the street and finished on the dyno. Would you mind posting the dyno results ?

Hi everyone, I actually am trading the car, lol... Since I had no intention of going bigger turbos etc., I picked up an A4 winter car, and will be ordering out a 2018 Mustang drop top for the decent weather months...If I wouldn't have gotten into the 11's I probably would have kept for another season.

I will answer the 60' question to try to help. I used to watch the tach close and was not consistant at all. So I decided to go by feel, and seem to have it as good as I could do. I brake boost right up to the point I hear/feel the brakes start to creak, and launch from there. That helped me when I added the DP'S and spooled quicker, so I didn't launch too hard.

Yes, occupational hazzard of my position. I picked up racing as a hobby because of this car, and this community! But I never really LOVED the car, it really only does one thing well, other than being a comfortable commuter. I tried to convince myself to keep it, but to me 11.8-11.9' isn't enough of a difference to keep tempting the car Gods. LMAO

Cool part is I still run a Ford dealership, and am always available for questions, and I know I'm not done with the Eco platform for sure... I already hate the fact the Audi is NA. LMAO. I'll get through the winter, and then see what the 18's have in store. I keep checking back to see what everyone is up to, and it is really cool to see what can be done!!!

It was a "race" tune. I drove it home that night and got 28.8 MPG over the 70mile drive. LOL. It was my street tune turned up for 100 Ocatane. I ran 93 pump with Race Gas brand supplement to bring it to 100ish octane. I logged one of the runs, and showed zero knock, and was just a great tune. I actually had them back down my hot race tune a couple PSI because I had fueling issue for a split second on 2-3 shift. So it actually was a touch lower boost than the one I ran 12.1's on.

Sometimes more isn't always better, especially if it causes unwanted heat.

I'm pretty sure I compared his logs to mine, I think my spark was a tad higher and his boost was higher. I really wanted to see his 11.9 log and it doesn't surprise me he did it with less boost (heat).

Yup, seems to be a running theme... our snails just start pumping heat like crazy after 14.5 psi or so... at least on mine...

The LMS race tune is a lower boost high spark tune, and it really keeps the the IATS low...

These cars love spark... or at least, they run well with more spark less boost...or maybe just mine lol
