Those are nice too. Like the blue ones alot more to be honest with the car as is. With tinted windows and the whole black theme those would look great too. Gonna tape up my rims as you suggested to see!

I really like the combination of the Titanuim and black, looks real good.
Looks FANTASTIC! Any troubles with the law and the tint? I got pulled over a couple weeks ago for tinted fronts and got a warning. No more fix-it tickets in Michigan, 2 point ticket right off the bat now.

Plus no need to give up the boost!
I need a truck. Even tho I love my truck, if I didn't need one I'd def have a car. I'll pay this off and get another sports car (sold Z for girlfriends Rubicon) and keep the truck too
Spotted this ecoboost away from the herd where I'm usually parked.

Thanks ZSHO. You're right about that, I've taken it camping/off-roading a few times this past summer too, just need something worth towing. I still wouldn't mind a SHO though :D

They really are quite comfy and a smooth ride. I was concerned about its off-road capability after having owned Jeeps before, but to my surprise it's seems to be really quite capable. I still wouldn't dare to attempt the things I had in my jeep but some of that also comes from the price of the vehicle and just how dang pretty she is lol. The 2015 MY has all the bells and whistles now as well. I had come from a 2013 Limited and had to give up some of the features when I went to the 2014 Sport. I honestly quite miss the heated steering wheel and auto wiper functionality (not to mention the HID's)

That's funny. As I was reading this post and got to the capable off roading part, I had the thought of it being to "pretty" to mud also. Nice.
We have an 05 trailblazer ext. right now (starting to show her age) that I just love for the space, high ride, and 4x4 winter safety. Hoping to get at least one more winter out of her before an upgrade. Theses sports are definitely on the short list.

Surprisingly, very few are noticeably fooled. Sometimes people that are probably up to something drive too slow in front of you. I don't look like a cop at all and don't have tint up front.
It's noticeably faster with the 18s! I am surprised. I think for the butt dyno it did as much as the tune did. Drives nicer overall, I might not want to go back to the 20s next summer.
This was past summer in the deep down south,my 16 year old son which always have to drive slow, dont want to be a bad influence.
WARNING: "Joy must be contained when traveling with impressionable folks" :D Good 4 u!
Lol, my son knows exactly how I drive. He also understands that I am an adult capable of dealing with the consequences of said shenanigans and he is not.
There is a pile of nib performance parts for his ST as added incentive. If he minds his P's and Q's, I will happily sign over the title on his 18th and along with it comes that box of go fast goodies.

My son's love it when I launch the car. Mind you its only done at certain open stop signs in our edge of the burbs community. What's funny is my older boy tells his brother (who wants car to be launched all the time...hehe) before I can, that it's not the time or place to launch the car. He's learning I think. Then when I do, never over the speed limit with them, and older son leans up and starts looking over the gauges..."dad that's good, no knock, mid 12's boost, 400 hp and torque"...that's my boy...lol

Traded in wife's 2013 F150 FX4 for 2015 Platinum FX4 loaded.
First night when we picked it up vs old truck:
Did some research and talked with dealer, ended up installing Fuel Lethal wheels and 295/65R20 Nitto tires with 1.75" leveling kit (per dealer statements on CV joint issues). No rubbing at all even at full lock. Wife loves the new truck.
Here it is vs another platinum they had on the lot:

Next is full blackout with wrap on all chrome, rear tailgate panel and grill. Also getting front windshield tinted a clear ceramic tint (rest of truck has ceramic) to help with heat mitigation here in AZ. Wife's old truck had it and it helped massively with heat in the summer. Also getting headlights blackout inside the lens as it looks kick ass.
Looks much better with the new wheels on the new ride :thumb: What % tint do you normally get on the windshield?

We use 70% tint up front - ceramic which helps massively with the heat inside and stopping the steering wheel from becoming a frying pan for your hands. :)
Truck will be getting tuned, downpipes and more shortly. :)
I'm looking for an inexpensive Tremor to buy to make "fast"
Caddy is going away, the next step for me would be to make it useless, over the next 2-3 years I'll build (or buy) a 8 second door slammer to play with. :)
That F-150 looks sweet.
Does the ceramic tint offer any glass protection? BiGMaC has to get the windshield on the SHO replaced almost yearly, has that been an issue for you, Mike?
New gofast parts :thumb: New gofast ride :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: (yes, I have an extra thumb).

Thanks. I'm really happy with how it's come together. They are the stock wheels with the Appearance Package. I had a blue 09 without the ecoboost before this one. I used it to push a Focus into a Toyota. Oops. Insurance company spent 11k on that car and in the end it had a shoddy third party headlight and mismatched paint. My local dealer traded it for what I owed and got me in this one for the same monthly payments. I said where do I sign!
That's awesome! The wheels I have are starting to peel and flake from corrosion. I'm thinking about getting them powder coated if I can convince the WARDEN to let me! She likes the chrome look. Haha

His MKS has H&R springs. See above. I'm sure the SHO is stock ride height.
Both are great looking cars!
I was shocked when pulling my MKS into the garage this weekend to hear it scrape the 3rd cat on the concrete lip into my garage. I really want to lower it for aesthetics, but that would make it impossible to get in the garage.
For reference, my lowered fox body Mustang doesn't hit and neither does my wife's little Honda Fit.
Guess that part of the exhaust is just in the wrong spot for the exact pitch of my driveway/garage. The MKS looks like a 4x4. Shocked me when it scraped. The cat doesn't look low, but...

Is the third cat the big one in the middle of the car?
I can see that thing when walking up to my MLS in a parking lot!
Yup, that's the one that scrapes my garage floor. Maybe I just need to remove it :)
5 hours of washing, polishing and waxing ...
I was on a mission to remove hard water spots that were in the paint since I got the car.
Mission accomplished!
Well done! Water spots and bird poop ... SUCK!
Thanks!
I researched the net for hours trying to determine how to get rid of hard water spots.
Distilled white vinegar was suggested, but only if the spots were recent. Since I got my car a year old with 27,000 miles, I guessed the spots were embedded in the surface. That called for a wax with a cleaning agent, and a polish if that didn't work. I decided to do both (polish followed by wax with cleaner).
My arms felt like rubber when I was done. lol
Nice job. I used to want to detail cars. Then I got married and had 4 kids. I've had my MKS for 2 years and I just washed it by hand for the first time. lol

Car looks great! Consider a coating (not just sealant) to prevent recurrences and etching from bugs or bird bombs. Most of them are hard enough to prevent spidering and you never have to wax for maximum reflectivity.
What is a good coating these days? I used to use Finish First. I liked that you could apply it and leave overnight for best results. Did about 10 coats on my motorcycle 8 years ago and haven't had to do since.

I had CQuart finest by CarPro put on my car 3 years ago after a 2 stage paint correction. Basically coats the car with a poymerizing Quartz that bonds to the paint... It can only be removed mechanically... Rates a 2 on the MOHs hardness scale.,It still looks like a new car despite being my DD and sitting in the AZ sun. There are a couple of others. CQuart warrants the car finish for 2 years if you have a dealer install... About$250. Consumer kit is cheaper. Takes about 50cc to put 2 coats on a SHO. I have never waxed. I decontaminate the paint with Iron-X in a foam cannon 2-3 times a year and use reload. No other paint product needed if you go this way... And no jelly arms.
Here's a link to the write up my detail guy posted telling the story, before and after details, and showing how much damage happens to the paint on a new car sitting on the dealer lot:

Congrats on the '15, Tomc! Did you trade in your '10 (with that sweet DIY custom grille), if I may ask?
Hello there SHOdded and Thank you. I traded the 10 in last December for a 15 non pp. I was very amazed how easy it was to customize the 13 and up grille. The grille I have now goes to a Dodge Ram, cut it to fit grille surround and bolted right in using the stock radiator shroud. Perhaps I can give some tips in the how to section on the part I used?
That would be great :) Heres a link to the topic:

I checked out your vid, I think the muffler delete is the best sounding exhaust option we have.
Nice looking car, especially the murdered out grill.
Sounds good, reduces backpressure, and I suspect some weight as well.
Seems like all win to me.
Do you know if its possible to reuse the stock tips?

Hey ! Thank you.
Yeah the stock mufflers do give some weight to the car, to be honest before going for a muffler delete, I installed Magnaflows, these things are way heavier than stock ones, which really made the car suck in drag racing, so I decided to go for muffler deletes, which in my opinion sound way better, and made the car go faster.
as for reusing factory mufflers, mmhmmm yeah I can reinstall them, but ill have to cut the muffler deletes and weld the stock ones back on. I dont know what I was thinking, I guess I was over excited haha.

@BPD, whats running on the tablet looking device in the upper left?
That is not a tablet, but rather the touch screen version of LMS "My Calibrator" device.
Awesome little tool. Among an extra 3 set of user defined gauges, it offers a myriad of other unique options, and one can even datalog with this device too.
Really still a bit perplexed that LMS moved away from offering it after only a few short years. This was the device they migrated to, after having parted ways with SCT.
The touch screen version was originally mfg'erd by 'Drew Technologies'.
Search it up on Google for further info/insight.
Finally, @ Z, thanks as always for fixing up PB's ginormous cluster F of a marketing campaign. Always enjoy seeing old pics of my SHO beast.
Reminds me of the various stages of its transformation.

And somebody asked me if it was in black and white because the car wasn't detailed or clean. LOL. Let's put that to rest.
