Title: Loss of power
Post by: Mac442 on October 14, 2021, 01:17:07 PM
I have a 2013 MKS with Gearhead AO tune. Car has been making awesome power, but the other day started to fall flat. No power at lower rpms.

I checked for boost leaks (visually and with soapy water/compressed air) and found one leak on the front turbo inlet piping. Fixed that and checked the BOVs for bad diaphragms and all looked ok.

Now car runs better but still not like before. With the tune I’m showing 10-12 psi boost, I remember it being a little higher. AF ratios look good.

Could a blow off valve be leaking internally or not closing properly without holes in rubber?

As for the wastegates, I have the wastegate PID on the X4 but don’t know how to decipher the readout. What should I be looking for?

Update, the problem seems to be Intermittent as power came back to normal out of the blue.

Turbos looks good, no oil.

Could a wastegate be sticking?
