Title: low compression on single cyl
Post by: withku on October 03, 2021, 02:02:23 AM
2010 SHO. Hey all, I may have pushed her too hard this time. I've been having cyl5 misfires at idle, and rough idle, but runs fine above 1000 rpms. Plug and coil were fine, so did a compression test. Cyl 5 read 75 psi, cyl 6 read 190 psi. I'm hoping i've just got valve issues, what do you think? I have been burning oil (bad pcv), could my intake valve be gunked up? Thanks in advance.

Bad rings can cause oil burn but you may have smoked a valve or cracked a piston.
