Very Minor Problem - Shifter is loose, Twists back and forth

I have a minor annoying issue with the center mounted gear shift:

it is loose and wiggles back and forth (Just annoying) and wonder if

anyone has had this issue, and if there is a simple fix. my Mech says NO,

but after the nine month issue with my car (i want a second opinion)....!

Do you mean twist in place? Or has lots of forward and back play?  Mine was loose going forward and back, then it stopped being able to shift at all ..

Is it just the shift knob?  Yes you can tighten it then it's solid, no more wiggle.

Just the shift nob, Wiggle only, no forward or backward issues

So how do you tighten it...?

Mine used to be a little loose...felt cheap.  After following this video its been tight as a tiger since.
