Title: MotorKote

Fun discussion on this product.

You dont see many additives that actually seem to work. This one does a few things well in static testing and in real world albeit Lawn mover engines.

I have my reservations. One is how thick is this coating ?  Will it effect anything in our SHO engines or any motor out there? I think someone mentioned that the cam phaser oil passages are small and can be effected by viscosity changes. So will this do anything? Just trying to start off the discussion.

I am game on my small power equipment. I bought a bottle. I can treat everything I own for a container of this stuff. 4 cycle Weed wacker. Lawn mower. Snowblower. Etc. times two bc more than one property.

As far as small machinery, waste of money. On every lawn mower, weed whip, chainsaw etc that ive worked on; Engines are tough, everything else is garbage. The deck, transmission, sheetmetal frame, seats, basically everything else will be shot long before your motor wears out on your riding mower. The clutches, head, recoil assembly are trashed before the engine on weedwacker, same goes for chainsaw.  This is all assuming proper maitenance.
Not bashing, just what ive seen over the years.
As far as car engine, idk. Im skeptical.
Archoil is another one, popular with the ford powerstroke guys

Any internal engine that can run with its crank case emptied and loaded with water. Thats impressive. Tho it is a far simpler engine design being out of a Lawn Mower.

Our Modern day vehicle engines are far more complex so who knows what this product will do inside one of them.

It does something thats for sure.
