Title: Warning Lights Collision Warning, Service Advanced Trac
Post by: Gerryh on September 23, 2018, 05:47:06 PM
I have a 2014 Lincoln MKS with 4500 miles on it.
I started getting Collision Warning  not Available, and Service Advance Trac warning lights popping up when I first start my car after its been sitting all week under the cover.
It goes away after i drive it a bit then re start it.  sometimes it does this if there it sits a while in the driveway uncovered and i start it up,but then clears when i drive it a bit then re start it.
Anyone else see this?  Is it the sensors acting up from being covered?

I would check for any codes since you have the advance Trac on! It could be a low battery especially if its been sitting for a while....
Do you have an OBD Scan Tool plugged in the port!  Z

typically rust/water intrusion in the wheel speed sensors, or a cracked tone ring.  Could be false alarms too, that can be fixed with recalibration of either the PCM or the IC.

I'd look over your wiring as well, look for rodent damage.... tis the season and they all seem super active here at least this year.
