Title: Torque Source 15
Post by: StealBlueSho on June 10, 2017, 12:35:16 PM
Seems like a lot of guys with 2012-2010 SHOs run into this once they start putting more power to the ground...

I am ASSUMING it's set off by the front tires spinning faster than the rear tires. Are there any other variables I am missing?

If the answer is yes your right, no there are no other variables... then...

What are you doing to get around that issue??

BPD has a non-pp running mid 11's.... how does he avoid that issue? (yes I am asking BPD...hoping for some input)

DRs? Suspension? Etc?

Tuning will help some I know, and currently working on it.. otherwise.. any of you fantastically awesome people have any thoughts?

I recall FoMoCoSHO having this issue before, maybe he'll chime in.
I'm sure you've already seen this but I'll post it anyway.

I have seen the generic one in SCT Livelink, not that one!

So.... it's more complicated than just fixing the traction upfront....

That's great info, thank you..

Still dunno if someone has found a solution...

SBS, I'm pretty sure Brad already dealt with this on mine....

Hopefully he will get you squared away soon.

Probably, I know he has fixed it for a couple guys. He is currently working it with me. I for some reason thought it was more a traction issue causing advance track to trip... maybe because usually when it happens the front wheels are spinning...

Brad and I have been working to isolate the value that needs to be changed. Think we might have found the scalar that is the culprit to it.

Sounds like all of Brads customers at some point need this adjusted lol...

I have had it with his other tunes but I was able find a sweet spot to launch without it happening 90% of the time...

With Meth, I can't just stomp the pedal anymore.. let alone brake boost...I have to ease into the accelerator from a stop...

Still smoked a 2016 mustang GT last night...but if I had stood up on the gas it would have kicked Advance Track on...

Brad and I have been trying to chase this issue down as well.

He has a tune worked up for me that shows a torque source 7 in place of the 15, and it does not close the throttle blade, but I'm sure it's leaving some power on the table.

Torque source 7 is trans torque management.

You want that one.

Right, but it's appearing halfway through 1st gear, not when the shift is commanded.

Lol, well at least I'm not the only that generates odd TS codes...

I'm here with you, but unlike you and SBS I'm only pushing 93oct power figures so you guys have it a lot worse.  Mine only show up while brake boost launching.

Does completely disabling Advance Trac rid you of the problem or does it still persist?

Only way around it is pulling the ABS fuse which lights up the dashboard like a Christmas tree....

But i sold off the 2010 and got a 2016 PP... that solved the issue permanently...

I'm having a problem win my 13PP car at the track. If I launch under brake boost the car doesn't shift out if first. You can almost feel like the computer holding the car back. The nose will dip a little almost like the throttle cuts out then shift into 2nd and shes back up and running. Seems to only happpend when I brakes boost over 2200rpm st the starting line. If I leave around 2500rpm or under really any boost this happens. Is this what I'm expirencing? It's driving me insane. Mind you it does this in both advancetrac sport mode and completely off.

How about overfilling your trans by a quart ?

There should be some  torque limit items that you can adjust to remedy that

But I haven't seen it pop up in the 13+ cars?

Car we're seeing it on is a 2011. Mine can launch 2500 all day :) sent you a PM, would you be willing to give insight?

By a PINT or half a quart. Not a full quart over filled.
