One on right is my first 12 Second run. Spraying around 75 % Methanol... No DR's - really needed them. DA was around 600. Temp was cool.

Here are some good runs at Bradenton last Jan. 2012. The last run was when I beat the 2012 Vette Gran Sport M6! Temp was 75 deg and DA was around 600... with the real elevation of 30 ft. Was running Nitto DR's on front. Really helps.

Dave, I was just looking at the Dragtimes site. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe, excluding 2 Pro Taurus', that you are now driving the #5 Taurus and the fastest non-meth SHO listed there. A celebrity in our midst!
LOL Tom. Thanks. I wouldn't exactly call it celebrity status. But yeah, as far as I can tell, I'm number 5 overall (6th if you count BPD who isn't there) and number 1 without meth. How long that lasts will be determined. I was just happy to get my 12 slip after all the frustrating "almost there" runs last Fall!
EDIT-I just added a note to my mods so my slip isn't up right now pending approval.

I probably could have gotten into the 13.70's if I tried, but getting into the 13's was so easy I was itching to load my 4+ tune. Which probably ended up hurting me cause I didn't let the car relearn the idle and fuel trim. So I'm sure I can do better on the 4+ tune. Here's that slip:

Absolutely great combination.
Nitrous is a valid option for these motors, it especially helps cool the IAT which means the computer can run more timing and more power.
The exact same qualities can be had by using Methanol.
Most Meth users have seen .5-.6 reduction in 1/4 mile times, when tuned for it's accordingly.
Nitrous + meth > meth alone. :)
I would happily put up a nitrous car against a meth car, actually I did that and beat them significantly Flex vs Flex
I've never run meth but NOS is a beast. Had a 100 shot on my Eaton supercharged 03 Cobra engine that made 473/460 in boost alone. Close to 600 on a 100 shot. Crazy power / torque :)

I don't know why you guys just don't pick up a cheap nitrous kit and controller and slap it in the car. Easily worth .5 in the quarter mile and 3-5 MPH up top.
Not to mention a hell of a lot less complicated to install.
What size tank would be practical for trunk mount use ?
How many say 1/4 or 1/8 blasts can you expect ?
Refill costs on average ?
I'll post a different topic, already mudied this one up enough.

I don`t know, 3/4 tank of fuel and my 140lbs body and 50lbs belly may make it close.
Car weighs about 4400lbs. Is why he saying the scale is a little off.

Damn can you imagine how quick our cars would be if they weighed that much? Close to 1000lbs less, hmmm low 11s easy. That would be nuts.

First two runs ever in the SHO for me. Yes I know the rt is horrible for the two runs. Need to practice launching I guess, Maybe I gave it a little too much throttle off the line? Powerbraked it to about 2250rpm. Is it better to go less and roll on the throttle?

Really? These run 14.2 from factory-- I picked up .7 of second just off a tune with one revision with All seasons ran at normal PSI. At almost 1200 feet above sealevel.
What were you expecting them to run?
Some have run in the mid 12s with just a tune. Sorry just realized it's a Flex. That's a good time.

I wouldn't say that's slow. The flex weighs more than the SHO and tune only 13.5 isn't bad by any means.

The car felt really good though
No way you are pulling a 1.3 to 1.4 60' foot time.
Even the pp cars with serious mods are not pulling a 1.3 60. That's sound fishy. But you never know. 12.8 is really quick for a tune only flex.

No offense, but there's no way that your car truly did a 1.3 60'. I've been drag racing my entire life and have raced 800whp drag cars that have never 60' a 1.3 and they're on slicks. Something was wrong with the track's timing system. That MPH is also low for that fast of a pass.

I have to agree. Got several friends with new Mustang GT's with blowers and slicks, only cutting 1.4xx and running high 9's. I believe the timing system is bad on that track.
The 1/8 mile time match's 1/4 mile time and the mph is there though. Not saying I don't think the 60ft could be off but I dunno. I duplicated it so
104mph with a decent 60ft is 12.5
The mph at the end of the run is 5-7 short of where it needs to be for that time. The timing system was not working correctly.

That doesn't make sense to me either. My 60 is about the same, I ran 12.8 flat and my trap is 108.
I think it's just the 60' were off. His trap speed is dead on for a Flex that weighs 4-500 pounds heavier than a SHO. Great runs man. 12.8 is sick! When I ran a tune only 12.9 my trap was 103 mph at 1500 elevation. fyi

Snaf2u 1st We got give you some tips.
1)At 55deg a tune only (Torrie or LMS or other) SHO/MKS should run 12.6-12.8sec!!!! EcoBrickBob FLEX TUNE ONLY had 12.8sec and w/METH 12.5 I thinking?
a)Weight, every thing out of the car every 100lb is .1 sec
b) 1/4 or less tank of gas every 1 gal is 7lb
c) Temp every 10deg cooler = .1sec
d) lunch rpm 18-2000 (2010-2012 stock brakes) stock brakes will not hold more.
(2013+ or up-grade 10-12 brakes) 2000-2200 lunch rpm.

Lightnings have a lot more bottom end TQ. than our EB vehicles. My Lightning has gone a best of 12.44 @ 108 with a 1.72 60ft. The quickest 60ft I've ever gone was a 1.55 in a 357CI 100 shot 1985 Mustang GT. It lifted the wheels a good bit and was violent. You would've felt a 1.3 60ft. Is it possible you have something hanging low in the middle of your Flex that could've tripped the lights? Because the 1.3 or 1.4 60fts are not possible in our vehicles. I would question the entire time. 8.0 @ 80 mph is damn near impossible. I'm going through a stack, about 2" worth of slips from my L. 8.1-8.2 1/8th all at 84 or more mph. One of the slips I ran a car that went 1.26 60ft....8.92 @ 151.29 through the 1/4.
Found a slip for the Lightning.
1.787 60ft
7.998 @ 87.17 1/8th
12.518 @ 108.33 1/4
There was something wrong with the timing lights at that track or something with your Flex is tripping the lights.

Go back to that track and run the left lane or did you run the left lane? If so what 60ft did it show? You pulled the GTO bad out the hole, but he did have a terrible(spun?) 2.7 60ft.
After these 2 runs, the track started filling up. So they started running people through fast and wasn't able to actually get setup on the tree like I was on these 2. I would get to tree and seemed like lights would start rolling within 2 secs. I kepted creeping up to far as well. I feel like first 2 runs I staged perfectly and was not able to duplicate it
So what were the times on the other runs?
I'm just saying...totally hypothetical here...and totally did not just happen...and, there is no time slip.

Hey
At least i have an excuse to go back to the track....I suppose if i ran the same time again, at a different track, and having a third time slip..... there would be no doubt?
I am sure 2 time slips, just create confusion on a how Flex could run identical times as a SHO even though EB Bob did it.... but a 3rd would clear all this up.

Blah, Blah, Blah more hatred spewed towards LMS for no reason at all. Why because someone questions a 60' time that anyone who has ever drag raced knows was a timing error. 1.3 60' time require much more hp than any new Ecoboost SHO, Flex, Explorer or F150 are putting down at the present time. I had a 600+ RWHP Mustang that on a good day with a transbrake and 2 step might get a high 1.3 second 60" time.

So what's the big deal? I personally don't see a problem with some tongue and cheek ribbing. I think "hatred" is a strong word, especially when we all know the times were jacked.
Not pointing any fingers, but IMO some of us need to lighten up about the whole Unleashed / LMS thing before it gets blown out of proportion...again.

I was just jerking JimiJak chain and he was just having fun to. This Unleashed vs LMS is NUTS!!!! DR started this forum NOV. 5- 2012 with EcoBrickBob NOV. 11-2012 Bob invited me over here. So of 3 starting member we have had Unleashed and LMS from the START, They are both good company this fight is nonsense "WE ARE ECOBOOST FAMILY " NOT one tune or the other FAMILY!!! And this fight has ran third party tune members away from both forum (I DON'T LIKE !!! HENNESSEY THEY BLOW-UP ALOT 1993 SHO's LIKE MY 93 SHO). DR has business issue with LMS "THAT's HIS RIGHT" But the forum's are about the EcoBoost Family help each other where cars, trucks, or SUV. Let the TUNER vs TUNER fight go.

Congrats
Welcome to the club GREAT TIMES!!!!!!
Hit up New England Dragway today for two runs and ran off a 13.068 @ 106.2. Best 60' time was a 1.926 which really hurt my times. I was running a new tune that I loaded at 5:30am in the morning and the car felt so flat off the line. Definitely room for improvement with running the regular tune and some better weather.

Had the same problem last night, 60 foot times were brutal, I managed a best 12.90 last night. 2 tenths off my personal best. On the bright side I beat a 300 srt8 that sounded like a stock car lol. Lots of really quick rides out last night.
Got my windows tinted near Great Lakes Dragaway last Friday so I headed to the track after the tint was finished. Did a little better that my last run in early April. Improved to 13.151 @ 107.74 mph. Had I dropped the excess weight (tools and jumper cables in trunk and baby seat) and had slightly better weather, I would have been knocking on 12's door. I'm happy with the results so now I'm gonna move on and install all the parts I got lying around. YEAH BUDDY!!!

I guess Friday the 13th and a full moon weren't bad luck for me. Last time out my best was 13.23 and now with the 3 bar and LMS 4x tune I ran a 12.7594 @ 107.26. Almost half a second faster! If you haven't ordered your 3 bar and 4x tune you need to get on it! I'm left lane on this run.

Stellar!... .47s improvement for you based just on the 3BAR tune mod if I remember your previous times. Congrats on your new "12 Second" SHO!
Congrats! Nice to see an official confirm of what we have been feeling in the butt dynos!
Nice, a 12.7 luxury cruiser is balling! Is the 4x 93 only or can you run 91?

Its 93 only. I ran the same tune today at Milan and was only able to pick up about a tenth overall bringing me to 12.76 @ 107. I did however notice that I had more trouble hooking than before. My 60ft suffered a little bit. Not bad by any means but i think it wad better on the old tune and factory all seasons. I think if I can get my wheels to stick that should be worth at least another tenth or so.

I have a 93 and a 91 version on my MyCal. Just in case I run into an area without 93. I noticed the same thing with traction. Tonight is the first time I could spin them. I do a quick launch to clean the tires and they spin a bit there and then launch at the light at 2,200 RPM. Now I spin on launch but not much. I had one launch that I spun more than the rest and could feel the rears break free for a quick second.

They gave me a 91 tune too but that was the regular 4+, modified so the ecm could read the 3 bar sensor. The 93 had the changes from Dave's dyno session. Spoke with the guys from LMS tonight and they said they didn't feel comfortable running the more aggressive tune on 91 octane

I went to the track Friday night. I've driven a lot of quick cars... from low 9-second 1/4 miles and up and must say these cars, at least FWD, are very hard to launch with a tune. Stock, no problem, but tuned, the power/tq comes on quick and you get a lot of wheel hop/spin. On the street it spins and goes, but at the track it hopped so bad, I felt like I was going to break something and lifted on several passes.
Stock, I ran 15.04 and with the Livernois 93 octane tune only, my best was 14.39. After several aborted passes I decided to call it quits. It's not a race car by an means, I just wanted to get an idea of what it would run. I found the best results by running with traction control off, leaving from idle and rolling into the throttle. My best pass was after they sprayed the track with VHT and I literally had no wheel spin, it hooked and went.
I would have to think an AWD car that could be brake boosted and launch with very little spin could go 13's tune only.
As you can see by the 60' on this pass, the track was perfect and it didn't spin at all. All other 60' were in the 2's.

The guy with the ST had a headrest mount and sent me video of a pass. You can't see me creeping ahead until around :20 in the video.

I went to the track only for the second time of the season this spring/summer. It was Car Fever Event at Napierville Dragway. It was a beautiful day, temps around 75F, sunny and a slight Wind in the face. Dragtimes calculated density to be of 1254... I have driven the car in much better DA than that, so I was not expecting any records, especially that I am still waiting for a more aggressive tune from LMS.
But, to my surprise, I ran 12.18 and 12.20! I know that if the track would be as well prepped as it was yesterday (60' of 1.72-1.73), in October that would probably translate in sub 12's. I am not giving up!
I might pay LMS a visit in September and have it dyno tuned again with a bit more tweak in the tune to reach my goal (on stock turbos).
Steve if you don't mind me asking. Are you using the recommended settings on your meth kit or have you played around with them.
Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
I went to visit Livernois in May 2013 and Dan tuned the car the best he could on the dyno but told me he lacked of time and he preferred to keep the tune more conservative than the stage 4+ I used to run on my 2010. So, no, I never played with it. He tuned it then and it has stayed the same since, I never removed the tune or played with anything. It starts spraying at around 8psi and I boost until 16-17...
I see that your best is 12.70... A few potential explanations:
- We don't have the same tune
- you have a K&N pannel
- I have a less restrictive exhaust 2.5" tubing, dynamax, X-pipe and downpipes
- My tires Hankook don't slip (I always launch Under 1.75 sec 60')
- Weather and track conditions most be favorable for me compared Texas!
Cheers!
Steve, which Hankook tiers are you running?
I knew you had more mods. And my car definitely has more in it than a 12.70. Was a hot day on brand new tires when I ran that. I was more interested in the capabilities of our cars on stock turbos. :)

I would think that on stock turbos, with a relatively conservative tune (I mean a tune that could be driven on a daily basis), on ideal conditions, high 11.'s are reachable.

Thanks Steve, appreciated. I have been having huge traction issues.
I have been running those tires for 4 consecutive summers and had about 500 runs at the track with them, they work great!

It was really nice to meet you last night and yes I did SHO all the other cars in street class that the SHO in the way to go!!!! The DA was terrible last night, I did mange to run a 13.12 in one elimination round, I broke out but the person I was racing red lit so I had the win before I even left the tree. He had 14.57 dial in to my 13.23. These cars are very consistent at the track.

How are the '13+ PP guys launching? Sport Mode enabled? Do you put shifter in D or S? What RPM are you launching at?
Every tune has a different parameter when it comes down to using drive or sport,I achieved the best results with current tune if put in sport and launching between 2200-2400 rpm.

Better reaction time however no improvement on time. Very happy with the experience just wish it was with you guys earlier this week at Milan. Still had fun talking to so many wonderful car enthusiasts. Surprised a few folks. I hung out with a guy with a 07 Z06 and he couldn't believe my times. Also hung out with a guy with a 12 Cobra also shocked. The best part was I was next to an older gentlemen in a stock 13 Chrysler 300 and he was having the time of his life. I ended up racing him in my second run. Last story. On my first run I was extremely nervous as you could imaging. I completely missed the staging area and was motioned to back up. Rookie mistake for sure. At least I drove around the water! Can't wait to do it again soon.
I have the PP package and here is what I did:
Put car in Advance Sport Mode with TC off
Left with 2,000 rpm
Only had 1/8 of a tank
Did not play with tire pressure so 35psi. Wish I had more oases to change to 30 and 26 psi.
Removed as much stuff from the car as possible. Engine cover, tire inflator in the trunk, floor mats, and didn't eat prior. It's true but just joking on that one.

Fassssttt!
Well I had another fantastic day at the track. I met irondoor19 at National Trails Speedway. Our cars looked like twins. In reference to the time slips I am car J113 and he is 709. We had a great time! Having someone at the track that has the same car and passion was the icing on the cake for me. I attached the time slips. Here is my best time:
Fourth and last pass of the day
R/T 0.384
60' 1.817
1/8 8.107 @ 86.22
1/4 12.632 @ 111.98
Irondoor best time:
Third pass out of four
R/T 0.640
60' 1.826
1/8 8.108 @ 85.48
1/4 12.687 @ 107.68
I don't know if it was the fact that our cars were always next to each other but we had quite a following of random people come up to us after our runs wanting to know what the heck we did to our cars to go so fast. A lot of inquisitive people expressing their interest and appreciation in our SHO's. It was very satisfying to say the least. My car is tuned by Livernois and irondoor is Pickup Plus Cars. We both had fantastic times, IMO and I could not be happier. A special thanks goes out to irondoor for meeting at the track, loaning me a helmet and allowing me to hang out with him. Certainly a celebratory beverage will be in our near future.

Yeah, I had the same issue till all they saw was big girl taillights.
Even the tech guys gave me the raised "you are full of s***" eyebrow when they asked what I expected to run.
Went to National Trails Yesterday with my New SHO Buddy "pejohnson". His 2013, Mine 2011
We were able to line up Side by Side for four Runs (first 3 were 30 Min apart, last one Painfully
slow).. So he wooped my butt (pretty Close) for the first three, and i treed him on the last.
Here are the results... ;D
Hey PE, wish i was not so blind (i would have left the results off, good time on a Sunday),
Many thanks "again", and i will take you up on the beverages.....
Also I think the Right lane was a TAD better, how about you...?
(i am looking for any excuse to explain you wooping up on me) HA HA
Went to San Antonio raceway last night time slips attached, DA was around 1872 according to drag times...
Extensively Modified Supercharged and Turbocharged Engines
12.896 @ 107.201 MPH
I actually ran 12.9909 at 106.43...! awesome
Car had almost 3/4 tank of gas and the spare and everything still in it... I will shed some of that weight next time I go out there if it is not last minute.
'14 non PP, 3bar v8 livernois, thermostat, plugs, PPE Catted DP's, 3rd cat delete stock back. Car has all of the adaptive cruise, collision avoidance, lane keeping, etc on it as well.
Really want meth injection..!
Good times, I think you should aim for mid 12's next time. 12.5 or less should be easily achievable with your setup.
12.5 seems a little ambitious for all those extras and non PP? Are most cars now running low 12's running methanol injection and that is normally good for a .5 bump in the 1/4? I would think after loosing the spare and going with little less fuel would only get me in the 12.7 range and that would be as expected?
12.5's should be there all day. With those mods the 60' should be 1.8 flat or better, almost a tenth right there. Maybe lower tire pressure more.
Rich
You are right, on all counts, that would be the median expectation. But with good fuel, minimized weight, 28 psi tire pressures etc as outlined by Steve in his post, you should be able to get pretty close in a '14 SHO. Tunes negate the PP advantage.
From today at Beech Bend Bowling Green KY. 50 degrees, announcer was commenting on stiff 20/25 MPH headwind all day. A lot of people were thinking it may have been costing us close to a tenth. A lot of fast times though, my best were 12.580 and 12.582 on the other lane. There was a 13 Coyote there ran a 10.9 with just bolt ons, tune and E85 and a 13 5.0 ran a 12.4 with just bolt ons and a tune.

Great times into a nasty headwind.

How far before the finish line is your car shifting into 4th? It is very close for my car, not sure if you wre in manual if you could ring out to the finish or maybe shift sooner or something?

I couldn't really tell or at least didn't notice when the car was shifting into 4th. I have to leave the gear selector in "D" or get way to much spin off of line. I still get a lot of spin off the line without putting the car in "S" but not as much as sport mode. I am turning advance track off though.
I have tried and tried but cannot get times anywhere close just leaving the car in "D".
I'm sure she's got 2 more tenths. 12.88 running hot
12.60@108.98......video of pass is under the video section
Beat my fastest time tonight! 12.62 @ 110mph. Fully loaded with 3/4 tank of gas and about 100lbs of added weight of my stereo system, too lazy to take it all out. I retrospect I should have she would have gone deep into the 12.5s without all the added weight. Hell who am I kidding she went 12.6!!

Great results! What was the DA?
Thanks Guys! I'll post up the slips later today. Rpm at launch was 2k DA was right around 0. It was freaking cold though almost at freezing near the end of the night.. Wheel spin was a serious issue.

Here are some of the slips from last night. The 12.62 seems to have grown legs from last night lol. Im sure it's somewhere in the car. These are all 12.63 at 109 to 111. Enjoy! I'll post up the 12.62 as soon as I find it. She ran incredibly consistent last night as you can see. Some of the Victims were, 2015 Mustang GT (stock), a few older stangs, 2015 300 SRT8 and a late 90s Corvette.

Back out again tonight. 60 degrees and 57% humidity. New best so far. But wheel hop first n second gear bad.
R/T- .415
60'- 1.82
330- 5.214
1/8- 8.063
Mph- 86.05
1000- 10.52
1/4- 12.60
MPH- 108.27
Couldn't get slip to load from phone.
If track prepared, tire pressures good, etc., then may need 1-2 shift pressures adjusted to 185-195 range.

Based on your signature those are some great numbers. Z
Darned good finish with that 60', Bruce. You are a master!
Thanks guys. The car was really consistent. It was so busy that I only ran 4 times and my times were all within .15. I tried to improve my 60s by launching a little harder but I just got more wheel spin. I brought the tires down to 28 but that didn't seem to help. My 60s were 1.974, 1.946, 1.948 and 1.922. What ever I am doing wrong, I am doing it pretty consistently! The car sort looks out of place with the Camaros and Corvettes:

I get the exact same 60s at that track...not sure why. I've tried everything to improve them.
If you really want to nail those 60'times a great set of summer tires is in order, softer compound=better traction, especially in hot weather. Z

Rock Falls seems to be notorious for poor traction. One of the guys I was chatting with said he "hooked better on a gravel road than at this place." They are repaving it before winter so it should be better next year. However, Brainerd has been excellent for me. I look forward to going back up there next year, too.

Very impressive time JD... Way to go!
Damn. That's a great time. I need to put the flex on a diet.
First time slip is plain 93 octane second is adding .75 gallon of e85 to 11 gallons of gas. Weather was about the same not sure why big drop in speed.
SHOwoosh is that the same track?
No it was different tracks
I wouldn't read anything into it. My track has a lane that is 5MPH faster than the other.
They blew me off when I showed them two virtually identical ET's with a 5 MPH difference.
Now I just run the slow lane because it matches better with what other similar ET SHOs trap at.
How many runs did you get in?
3 at the 1/8 mile track and they were all within a couple hundreths. Only one at the 1/4 mile was rained out.
My first pull is never my best.
Got a chance to run with mods the best of the day 12.91 I backed it with a 12.94 and 12.97.
Solid times!
After waking up and checking the DA at Milan on a chilly Michigan morning...-1320...I just had to get down there.
By the time I got to racing the DA had fell some, -800...wow I was excited to take advantage of these conditions.
With that great DA another issue arose, traction?
First time I've had the car spinning to the point you could feel it trying to correct itself, not really cutting out...more of a throwing power to different wheels maybe?
Weird thing is...I nailed my best 60's yet, but the extra spinning was getting an earlier than normal shift into 2nd...which also netted me the best mph I've seen by 2 full mph.
There was a direct on headwind of 10-15 mph today too.
Car 422...left to right in order of runs
(http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/18/659fd988e8c8e90a32ad9dff4b94cdb2.jpg)
So no new best yet...still a week left!
So us test & tuners lined up in the staging lanes for our presumed last run of the day...we were sandwiched by 4 other classes that were on last week of points race (pretty cool racing)....anywho. I'm lined up next to an older Camaro with DR'S and huge hood scoop and look to be taking a loss in the final run. This Mustang in front of me with a bunch of LS buddies from Ohio.
He's lined up next to this SS
(http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/18/3b400b90ae7823e3aecd69d88c2c53cc.jpg)
As we get up to guy controlling the staging lanes the guy in the SS calls over the worker and points back at me...employee says, "you want to run the SHO"? Guy nods and the race is on!!!!
After struggling with traction all day I dropped the fronts to 22 psi and rears to 24 psi for this last attempt. We line up and he gets me off the tree, but I out 60' him real good. At the 1/8th I can see him barely creep up to the front doors and commenced on the verbal assault that somehow kept him at bay and walked away with a .02 victory!!!!
Fun way to end the day
Guy wouldn't even look my way at the air station...got beat by the Mustangs brother still, and a V6 family sedan to boot.

Got a baseline run in yesterday, last day of the season here, track temps were 50 degrees, and the DA was 197 feet.
Car is a bone stock 2014 SHO with all options except the performance package, full weight with spare, jack, tool kit, amp and subwoofer.

it was a decent night out at Thunder Valley tonight. It got cold fast as soon as the sun went down. DA was 1700.
I ran 13.07 @ 105.6mph. I wan also running in full daddy mode, 4600 lbs according to the scale at the track
(http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g92/92blackgt/20160408_220958_zpsrovxwv9c.jpg)
My buddy with a stock '15 non pp ran 14.05 @ 99.1mph.
I was getting wheel hop on the 1-2 shift so lowering the shift pressure and a couple of tune revisions and i'll be solidly into the 12's
A full second, pretty sweet! Full daddy mode could only have helped :D
PS, i hate my elevation and you guys 1000 ft lower than me

Updated Torrie tune!
Snuck out to Milan for opening day yesterday. DA was -226 when they opened, but I couldn't make it until later when the DA was 1100+.
Only got in 2 runs because of the crowded atmosphere, which was great...and a couple lengthy cleanups.
Went on a light mix of corn, .5 to 5 gallons equalling a 16.8% mix.
1st run, on 26 psi
(http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160417/e98d3513a90f44964e1b34e49502395e.jpg)
2nd run on 22 psi & the rear windows down (oops)...sounded like I lost a door at the 1/8th mile. Did net my best 60', but tires slightly broke free into 2nd.

Thanks.
I did run a 12.5 last year with a trap of 112, tires broke free on the launch more than usual. Still had a great 60', but the extra spin seems to get it into 2nd gear too quick or something.
Launch...start by wiping the tires clean in staging lanes and checking pressures again. Avoid water box and then do a high rpm launch for a spectacular awd mini "burnout"...2nd run I had the rear windows down for some stupid reason and could hear a sarcastic cheer from the crowd at the wall...lol. Then it's a painfully slow attempt at barely getting that full stage light on with a 2000-2100 rpm launch. Long brake pedal, focus on getting foot off of it fast.
Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
How deep are you into the throttle pedal when you are holding your 2100 rpm?
Dang...I wish I could get 60s like that. I would give my left....uh..appendage..to run a 12.5.

Im just curious becuase i go about 25% maybe ....im afraid to hold the throttle much more than that...i feel like im hurting it lol i think my 60' was around 1.80-1.84
I target an rpm, never paid attention to the % of pedal travel. I usually let the other guy stage first too, so it's a very short time at targeted rpms.
Seems like these things like higher rpms to me in overall driving on a tune. Car just seems to be super smooth when driven harder.

FYI this topic wasn't where you are supposed to submit your times, in the first post it indicates to go to dragtimes.com and use that for the recording of timeslips.
I have reached out to a developer however to replicate that functionality of dragtimes.com on this site so that we can keep everything here.
I don't know how fast that functionality will happen so in the mean time please continue to use dragtimes.com
