Title: Round 2 with the IC to the track!
Post by: ClearwaterSHO on March 08, 2019, 11:22:11 AM
Good Morning All,

Tonight I'll be running in some bracket races! It will only be the 8th mile, but we will see how well the IC does. I'm thinking it won't be much because it's only the 8th mile and I saw the most gains from it on the back half of the 1/4. Wish me luck!

Good luck! I was going to go to the track tonight but some things came up. Next track day is March 29th or April 5th for me.

I ran the 8th mile in 8.03 @ 87 mph. DA was about 800. It was 70 degrees out or so. The track I was at makes you drive through the water, so my 60ft times were pretty terrible, but better than the last time I was out. 1.8x spinning. I'm going to run the 1/4 next Saturday, weather permitting. That track lets you drive around the water box.

My first day at a track I kept driving through the water box even though you can drive around it...I thought I was supposed to...thats how little I knew.  Was that the E30 or 93 tune?

I know you had to drive through the water but did you experiment with tire pressure?  How much gas in the tank?  Spare tire?  You'll make improvements for sure without water and if you go with a quarter tank of gas or less and without your spare thats a good .04 or .05 you could do better.

I cleaned the car out and the trunk was empty of everything. I think going to the 1/4 will better show what the IC is doing for the car. I was running the E30 tune.

True.  You said the IC really seemed to help on the last stretch.  E30 is more potent so I was just curious which tune you were using.  Cool man well its always a blast to run the car and hopefully you get a new personal best at rhe other track.
