Title: Extended Warranty!
Post by: TASK_FORCE187 on June 03, 2018, 09:34:07 AM
So I just had my engine replaced along with both turbos. I wasn't tuned at the time because I went in for my PTU to get replaced as well. All of this was covered under my extended warranty thank GOD. When I got my car back I want to VTA again but when I did that I noticed that it keeps going off every second. This is when stepping on it full throttle can any please tell me why and how I can fix it?(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180603/77e6560f16aab9672dc39ec4afc8b443.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180603/9ae300517ef1edae04f8ed1261258c13.jpg)

Welcome aboard! Check your Font BOV!  It could be leaking from there and cascading down to your oil pan!  Hows the oil level ?  What type of vehicle ?
Due setup an intro @ your earliest convenience, thanks.  Z

Check to see if there is any motor oil preferably outside/inside of the Front BOV!
The BOV has a rubber diaphram inside which can be worn out causing the flutter!  Two 8mm socket bolts.
I guess you can always swap out the BOV to see if the noise has changed.
IMHO if you have oil present bring it back to the dealer @ your earliest convenience pronto!
Btw make sure to revert back to stock tune and all! Best of luck.  Z

I did put my finger inside of it and noticed a little bit of oil. Should I change the Rubber seal

vent to atmosphere. My Blow of valve if I'm holding the gas pedal down my blow of valve keeps going off with out releasing the gas pedal

I dont think the seal is replaceable.  The BOV has to be changed.

Revert back to stock Tune and all! I would simply say there is oil leaking on the floor.
I believe a new Long Block does not come with new BOV IIRC! Perhaps the original ones were used! Correct me if I'm wrong!  Z

Here's Z very own images of what a fully functional BOV looks like.  It is the orange seal that ruptures and causes issues

Why is it that this is on the bottom of some 3.5 SHO when I had my engine replaced this part looked off(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180603/5d8bd3f0f0b920ba22874e366e160391.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180603/f9ddf52b664e8f5be8cec08434fd13b6.jpg)

Happens a lot, inconsequential.  you could put some silicone sealant adhesive on it and glue the cover back on.

We just fixed my buddy's, his lepta opening and closing when crusing because the factory crimped pressure hose going into the innercooler was leaking at the plastic crimp

Mine kept going off because I had a boost reference hose fly off under the cover.  I thought it was the BOV and pulled and inspected them.  The were good. I zipped tied the hose back on.
