Title: Rattling sunglass compartment door
Post by: GIGANTORE on November 02, 2017, 09:09:33 AM
Was hoping someone else has experienced this and has a fix. Im hearing a ticking sound coming from the compartment door during driving. If I put my hand on it, it stops. Im about to start taking it apart to see if I can pinpoint the source. Anyone experience this?

Have heard of headliner rattles in the area, maybe that is what it is?  If it IS the door, i would add a thin piece of foam/weatherstripping to quiet it down.

I recall when installing new LEDS that there was a bunch of wires above the compartment which comes off fairly easy as it could be some loose wiring retainer clip rubbing on the headliner IMO.
I certainly agree with SHOdded and use some foam to prevent the rattle.  Z
