The upcoming 2016 Mach 1 is rumored to have an all new 600+HP V8 known as 'Voodoo'.

That's a pretty cool site i was unaware of.
awesome find :thumb:
I was thinking they would make the gt350 similar to the boss 302 with a 5.8L without the blower on it something alot cheaper than $75,000(z/28)... and in the following year release the gt500 with some insane SuperCharger on it!!!.. :yeah:
They rumored ever engine known to man in that article. I'd like to know where all this info came from before I get to excited.
just read the second article it says;
"The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 from the Taurus SHO might also find its way into the Mustang, eventually replacing the base model V6. This is unlikely to happen in the first few model years, but may happen during a mid-life refresh."
the 2.7 ecoboost mustang makes less gas milage than the current v6 model... i'm all for the 3.5L but wouldn't the 3.5L TT motor defeat the purpose of the v6 model? Just the gain 60hp more... They may as well go with the v8 and will get the same milage with more power.

Unless they change the Tune... The 2015 Navigator more HP and TQ than the SHO. And it's got a 3.5EB. We know the motor is capable of much more, just beef up the internals, add more fuel flow capabilities and done. 500hp 3.5 EB baby right from the dealer. And hopefully the parts can be made to fit on the SHO. ;)

Gonna need more than some 'voodoo magic' to compete with the stuff coming out now. Hellcat is just the first. ;) They are going to need more ponies. :P
How much does the mustang weigh? That Hellcat is hefty.
Over 3700lbs in GT trim.

That's just over a 1000 lb difference...wow...that could make the ponies about right to take it with better cornering too....hmmm
Damn, with the same HP it should run 9s lol.

1000LBS? The challenger (what the mustang competes with) is 4488lbs. The 3700 is for a GT not the Voodoo V8 which will weigh more.
Now the 663hp 2013 GT500 would run with this one. ;)

the voodoo is the code name for the flat plane crank coyote-based(NA) engine that is going the the "GT350" Z/28 killer.
.... :squint: .... the price of the Z/28 is ridiculous....
Ford got it right with the Boss 302 as far as pricing goes.
The z/28 was built to win road racing. And they did change alot of things on it. But it is pricey
Voodoo Ecoboost v8 ..... stock from Ford .
Tuned , down pipes , a True CAI , free flowing exhaust , meth , and the list goes on ....... then I wonder what the performance potential may be ?
If you listen to the GT350/SVT Prototypes at the 'Ring, one engine is a Flat Plane and the other is regular engine...so we might be seeing two different high performance products in the near future...

What are smoking/reading? First off the 2.3L is a 4 cyc engine that had its MPG numbers leaked at 22 city and 31 highway for a combined score of 26. The 2014 V6 auto got 19/31 and 23 combined...but do keep in mind that 2014 weighed a little less and had a lower gear in vs the 2015...and I'll be willing to bet that the 2015 Ecoboost Mustang will feel/be faster then the 2014 V6 was.
