Title: Valet mode in Sync system
Post by: SoCalSHO on August 04, 2013, 08:24:10 PM
Anyone here ever used the valet mode on their Sync system. You have to enter your 4 digit pin a couple times. What does it do? Does it just limit access to the sync system? I guess after three years, I could just go out and try it. Just want to know if anyone else has done it.

I used to have a valet mode for a tune in my 454SS truck, cut the power in half or something like that.

I haven't tried it yet, but normally, the valet mode on new cars from the factory locks you out of accessing any kind of stored phone numbers, addresses, garage openers and such.  I don't believe these make any changes to power or driveability.

I know on my Audi's APR tune modes you can load a valet tune which limits boost and top speed, but thats different then the Valet mode you can lock out in the glove box.
