Title: Spare Tire on the SHO
Post by: DesiSHO on July 25, 2022, 04:21:37 AM
Has anyone tried adding a full-sized spare wheel to their spare wheel well? I have a 19-inch regular Taurus rim with an 80km/h max sticker on it, inside the well. it looks like it was meant to be there but I really want to carry a 5th regular 20inch flower wheel.

Should I adhere to the speed warnings when using the spare? (hypothetical)
Also, should I consider switching the tire? it might be the same one since 2015.

Any thoughts, opinions, and or perspectives?

I dont think a full sized tire will fit but a full sized skinnier tire should. SHO tires are pretty fat.

Thing is the spare tire is 255/45/r19 and the regular 245/45/r20, there's only one way to find out i guess
