Title: New wheels installed
Post by: shoNoff on April 19, 2019, 05:51:33 PM
So as many of you may have seen. I was basically run off the road and curbed the crap out of my flower. Also took the sidewall out on my continental dws. The ocd in me would not allow to just replace tire and have a curbed wheel. I was seriously twitching thinking about it. So after many hours of looking I decided on these. Flow one race spec f2's in 20x8.5. They are flow formed and weigh 23.7lbs each. I wrapped them in general gmax as-05's. Shout out to lamrith I was between 2 tires and your review pushed me over the top. So far I'm extremely happy thank you. Once my hand and elbow are more healed I'll get to putting in my h&r's. Oh almost forgot huge shout out to mustang sally the wonder dog. Without her help would have never got this done today. She kept all squirrels and chipmunks at least 300 yards away.

Sorry I had to break this up I'm away on a mini vacation. The WiFi will only let me do 3/4 at a time here.

I have more but the WiFi here sucks. That's all I could get up there for now.

Love my little dog she's the best. Miniature dachshunds make me laugh for hours on end.

Whoa, those look amazing.  And only 23.7 pounds, sounds very light.  Do you know how much the stock wheels weigh?  And does anyone have a reliable list of various wheel weights from the factory?  I've looked a bunch and never could find anything that seemed particularly trustworthy.

Thank you very much. I've found people saying anywhere from 30-32lbs on a flower wheel. But can't get anything concrete on it. I can say during the swap they easily feel 15lbs or so lighter per corner. Wheel and tire combo that is. Eventually I'll get around to weighing a stock wheel once I'm back from vacation.

They look good man , they will look even better after the H&Rs installed . Someone said recently the flowers are 28 lbs each its hard to believe being they're factory 20 inch wheels but even still your saving 5 lbs each corner! That's good rotational mass loss

That's interesting about the flower wheels.  Interested to find out for sure how much they weigh.  Now if only I could find the actual weight of the dang '13+ MKS Ecoboost wheels, lol.

I thought the flower/daisy wheels weighed between 31 and 32 lbs.  This was posted about a while back.  DG1Z1007G

I can't speak for the flower wheels, but my 20" MKS wheels (that come with the EAP option) were 33lbs.  My new ones are 28lbs and I noticed a positive difference.

OP - Wheels look great!  I considered those, but wanted something with a little more offset to sit flusher.
