Title: Sync and Itunes help
Post by: futat2 on March 04, 2014, 09:29:24 PM
Dose anybody know how to get sync to play all songs from iTunes loaded on a usb stick? I have a 16 gig USB stick (not full) with music from my iTunes library, for some reason it will play some of the songs but not all of them. Whats the trick to this? Thanks for any help.

I don't believe there is any help for you, sync doesn't like thumb drives formatted that way. Only thing is likes is just mp3 copied on to drive, it can't do any file structures as in iTunes library.

I have over 800 songs on mine.  Most songs work from ITunes but some songs will not.  On iTunes, I use the convert to AAC option on those songs ( right click on the song in your library, then select the convert to AAC - iTunes will then make another copy of the song in that format)  then copy them back to my USB.  They generally work then. Something like that, going off memory while sitting in the lazy boy!

I just stole my son's old iPod and use it in the car, and it works great.  Besides knowing how I do things if I had music on a stick, I'd end up losing it and my music! :banghead:

I'm with mj... I use my old iPhone 4s.... got about 4000 songs on it... no problems for me that way.  No converting for me this way because it a copy of my iTunes library, which is AAC 2 channel by default.
