I did this a few months back. The black letter fill fell out of the "tw" the badge itself seems good quality. I think the chrome plating doesn't give the letter fill anything to bite to.
I will eventually remove all the color and plasti dip the whole thing.

That's exactly where I was putting it. The piece it self seems top notch. I figured for under 10 bucks it was worth a shot

If your putting it it the same spot, try to gently bend the badge to better follow the trunk contour.
The adhesive tape that comes installed was a little thin.
I added a layer of 3m tape on top of that, seems to work pretty well

The chrome on mine is already starting to discolor. Only had for about 6mos.

I'd like to do this also but I'd rather pay a bit more and hopefully avoid the chrome discoloration and flaking paint. I don't care if the material is plastic.....as long as it holds up. I mean $7.95 is pretty cheap. Anybody find some higher priced options?  I don't want an Ecoboost one. The 3.5 L TWIN TURBO content works for me

Billet Badges was an interesting site, but at first scan through I saw no 3/4 in X 6 in options. The smallest was 1.5 in.and that's bigger than I had in mind.  I didn't find the pricing too bad.... $45 compared to $7.95, as long as the quality was there.  The size and layout of the cheap one is exactly what I'm looking for.

They will custom make everything and anything  you want. They just have a long wait. 4-6 or 8-10 weeks..
I'm impatient, but I'm waiting.
I ordered the larger 3.5L "raptor style badge.

That is what I have on my rear quarter windows but the Will not fit on the rear trunk area because it is not flat .

You would have to ask them if they could be made to have a curve in them .

I ordered 2 of the $7.95 versions. I have plenty of plasti dip for an upcoming project. I wonder if dipping the badges with just the glossifier will protect them from dis coloring or peeling?  I like the badges the way they look and don't want to change the color. Anyone have any opinions on this?

Interesting the glossifier should act as an overlay to the badge protecting it from the elements

I'm trying to find something that looks a little better than the plane SHO badge on the back. Anyone here replace it with anything?

There's always the badge SwampRat is selling, but the surface has to be flat, per his description.

Yeah the back is curved so I'd need a small one. Thinking a TT badge would be cool.

That would be cool. I wonder if anyone could make one for us.

Also some kind of shadow lettering for the side of the door. Nothing big.

Maybe like this only not so bold. Like a grey smoke Translucent color.

Did you use 3m tape to reattach the badges?

I would recommend anyone buying the ebay badge 1st remove the the 2 sided tap from it. There 2 nubs under it from cast the will need to filed flat or ground flat. Then give it a shot of clear coat front and back. This should keep it looking nice for a while, mine isn't that old and its ready for the trash. Will be ordering a new one and this what I will be doing this time around.

Looks very nice...seeing that black oval makes me think that small SHO symbol from the pass. dashboard would look good on there.
