Title: Leaking Case
Post by: ecoboostsho on June 25, 2018, 04:05:33 PM
Ended up with a leaking trans case which I noticed during the last oil change.  I took it to the dealer and am now REALLY glad I went with the extended warranty.  They will need the car for 3 days so I will get a rental paid for as well. They apparently need to basically remove the trans from the engine and split the case.  Car has 60K on the odometer.

What I was wondering is would it be worthwhile having them do anything else to the trans while they are in there? I will most likely have them change the PTU fluid at the same time.

Dave have them Inspect the O Ring Seals and replace as necessary! Best of luck.  Z

Inspect the torque converter.  Too much to ask to replace the control components (TSS/OSS sensors, VB, SBA) LOL.

Appreciate the response guys. They couldn't fit me in for two weeks. Thankfully it's fully driveable.
