Hi, Relatively new member of this helpful forum. I noticed my 3rd brake light is out. I found one video of a guy replacing his. It looks fairly simple by first removing the cover then unplugging the bulb, with what looks similar to a 9 volt battery only 2 male connectors. Anyone done this? Is it that easy? The lamp assembly prices range from about $85 and up for new oem replacement. Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Hi Mac, just seeing your reply now. Here is the vid linky: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LksNBY_wvwI
I ended up getting a replacement part from the online ford parts division of my local dealer for $84 and found it was easy to remove the old and replace with the new one. It is all about lining up to two connectors correctly, then it snaps back in.
