Title: Transport mode?
Post by: Gjkrisa on April 09, 2018, 03:53:55 AM
Hi I think someone has mentioned this but curious if someone knows how to turn it on.

So transport mode if you don't know is a mode that will shutdown or hibernate the modules so your battery will drain much less I think the big ones is the module for sensing the door touches and if the keyfob is in radius.

Recently thought of this when I was driving a Jeep compass off of transport when it said it's in transport mode

I'm also going to try possibly pulling fuses to see if I can get the drain lower by testing with a volt meter see what's on and if I can remove it.
Also guess some modules can get locked up from going into hibernation mode so might be worth probing and seeing if Ford can do anything to help I hate needing to put the car on a charger. My subaru can sit without needing a boost for months and in -40f no garage and still turn over. This taurus sits for a week without being turned on and it needs a boost to start.

Anything you guys do when you leave your car garged for the winter?
Recently got a job detailing at the Dodge dealer.

Here is a history of my battery drain don't drive it far enough to charge the battery.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180409/830ec0d8bad60fab5620e04dc8da2daf.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180409/4d186a2ca8796c92fdead8dc226fa558.jpg)

Seems like a battery tender is a MUST in your situation.  But the TM is intriguing.  If it can be easily done without wrecking anything, why not!
