I am looking to get an adapter to run an app on my phone like torque, but something for iOS. Which one works better Bluetooth or wifi?

Ok, I saw a bunch on Amazon that said Bluetooth for iOS. They said code reader, not sure if there is a difference

If you wanna run torque app. Get an Elm 327 Bluetooth.  Then get a cheap android tablet or used android phone or even a prepaid android phone it doesn't have to be a uauable phone cause ur just gonna connect to wifi and download the app. Then you can have it dedicated to the car whenever your in it. This is the advice Greybrick gave me. I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of it. Great idea.
13 Eco flex.

Yeah I thought about doing that, haven't decided yet what I wanna do. 7" tablet might be too big, would be nice to find something around 5" screen.

With the Android/Torque combo, either BT or wifi will work fine.  The cream of the BT crop is the OBDLink MX:

although this one has pretty good reviews also and has been around a while:

For wifi, I have used both the vGate product and the PWOW product with Torque (both work fine with iOS also):

Forscan Lite is available for iOS and for Android.  Extensive PIDs already built in and a wonderful datalogging tool; no PID, timeslice or graphics interface customizability though.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I had good luck long ago with the ELM 327 wifi for iPhone.

ALL others I have used in bluetooth/wifi combo with Android have caused all sorts of problems with my car.

The wifi obdlink mx wifi is what I have now with no issues. I am switching back to iPhone so needed wifi version. It is truly bi, allows custom pid's on IOS and Android. BUT it is expensive.

Under Settings, there is an option for Data Logging & Upload.  Then Select What to Log.  This will bring up the PIDs currently being logged, if any.  To bring up the pre-defined list of available PIDs for your vehicle, click on the icon on the top right that looks like 3 stacked tiny squares, and select Add PID to Log.  This is the same list you see when adding gauges for display purposes.  Highlighted in GREEN are what Torque believes applicable to your vehicle.

To add custom PIDs, go back to the main Settings menu, click on Manage extra PIDs/Sensors.  This will bring up the custom PIDs for your vehicle.  To add a custom PID, click on the icon at top right, then select Add custom PID.  Click OK on any warning/informational popups, and now you are ready to define the PID.  Here is a list of PIDs compiled for us (mainly by ecoboostsho):

Just remember, the dashboard is independent of the log, setup is required in each place separately.
