Title: Datalogging with LMS Touchscreen MyCalibrator
Post by: StealBlueSho on October 11, 2018, 10:05:50 PM
I am working on making sense of the LMS Datalogging information I am looking at.. FWIW.. it appears that all data being collected is raw data from the sensors.

Knock 1 and knock 2 only provide raw data streams from the knock sensors which doesn't include any ignition correction information.

I suspect that the PID's are from the FORD IDS system which is not something I am familiar with.. and I cannot find a document that gives me information on what the parameters are, units they are streamed in, and descriptions. There are short descriptions from the Mycal device.. but they are not intuitive.

Anyone familiar with IDS or have documentation on the parameters that can be logged? I have looked through the IDS website and cannot find anything help..

examples are FRP 1, FRP 2, KNKSEN1_CNT, KNKSEN2_CNT, ACT, ACT2, MAP, etc etc...

some of them are intuitive but the majority are not...

So I found this document... this seems to align well with what I am seeing...

http://juchems.com/ServiceManuals/viewfile1612.pdf (http://juchems.com/ServiceManuals/viewfile1612.pdf)

MAP is being streamed in Hz.. which somehow needs to be converted into KPA or PSI...

oh how fun is this going to be...
