Title: Tires
Post by: Motohead on August 24, 2020, 12:24:58 PM
So its time for some new shoes for my 2016 flex EB its run hard on the street and at the track. With the tune I have its spinning on the line (and closing the throttle blades) the factory tire size is 255/45R20 I'm looking for some recommendations for a good performance tire with more grip. and can I get a wider tire to fit without any issues. currently it has worn out  Lexani LX-twenty's tread wear 320 Traction A temp A
What are you  tuned guys running ?

Quite a few SHO's on here are running the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06.  I love them, and they are a damn good all season tire.  I also went 1.77 to the sixty foot at the track with full stock suspension on the stock flower wheels with them.  26 psi in the front, 40 psi in the rear.  They work.

I second the DWS06 tire!  I have them (255/45/20) and love them and believe you would too.  My second choice would be the General G-Max AS05.

My best 60' was 1.736 on Cooper Zeon RS3 all seasons at 35psi all the way around. Got 35K miles out of them and 150 or so passes down the track.
