Sharp!

Should really prove incredibly beneficial for those looking to upgrade the paltry OEM brake set up.

Nicely done and kudos to all involved!

An attempted "scrape"?

I'm not techy. WTH does that mean (in layman's terms).

Some entity or individual tried hacking it/shutting it down completely?

If so..... geezuz. Why pick on this wonderful community?

Welcome aboard!

My old (now deceased) mechanic/long time friend had a FLEX.

Loved it, and all the room it offered. Not to mention the power of the 3.5L EB power plant.

Post up some pics when time permits. We all love car porn after all!

Maintenance, Oil, and Fluids / Steering Noise
Last post by LipschitzWrath - February 07, 2024, 09:04:26 AM
For several months now, my 14 SHO has been making a steering noise. The noise occurs any time I turn the steering wheel left or right. The vehicle can be stationary or in motion, doesn't matter. The best description I can give for the sound is a grinding noise.

I have not yet noticed any problems or symptoms. I don't feel any feedback through the wheel, nor have noticed any increase in steering effort.

In fact, the only thing I've noticed is that sometimes after sitting overnight or over the weekend, the steering wheel feels locked in place for a second or two until I really pull on it.  After that, everything is fine.

A cursory glance on the underside hasn't shown anything. I've yet to put it up on jackstands and have someone else turn the wheel while I observe.

Has anybody had this happen? I'm guessing the rack has gone tango uniform but now I'm wondering if it could just be the assist unit?

The job doesn't seem hard, just slightly time consuming. How hard is the programming if I install a new rack or assist unit?

Performance / Dual MAP sensors?
Last post by DualBoosted - February 06, 2024, 12:57:26 PM
I have a 2014 flex EB and 2017 SHO, both appear to have dual MAP sensors, 1 before the throttle body and one in the intake manifold. Why does only 1 get replaced with a 3 bar MAP when doing a tune upgrade? Is the one before the throttle body already a 3 bar MAP?

For the past week the forum has been underperforming due to an attempted scrape of the entire site. This should be resolved. If you are still experiencing performance issues with site loading let me know. Thank!

Performance / Re: GT350 15.5" Brake Upg...

Finally got a few sets of hoses in. My hose guy is trying really hard to remedy this. I have enough for 4 sets of the GT350 brakes. OEM will have to wait a few until I can get there again. On my drive home on Thursday the 1st I ended up going to the hospital and got my appendix removed. So, still a little down from that.

Before I make a new post on a few forums and FB, those who were active and interested, wanted to offer the 4 that are available.

Included: 2x adapter brackets, 2x rotor spacers, 4x adapter bracket bolts (OEM), 4x Allen head caliper mounting bolts, 2x DOT SS brake lines with banjo bolts, and a caliper hardware kit.

All that is needed are the rotors, calipers, and pads. Rotors are available either drilled for up to around 2020 and solid face there after (aftermarket 1pc have been inconsistent on fitment). Calipers are either plain grey anodized or red on the GT350R, and pads are whatever your heart desires.

Disclaimer I must add is that I have no idea how this will affect the stability system on the 13+ SHO. The 10-12 utilize a basic ABS and TCS, but the 13+ PP has the addition of a stability system. This is also a major undertaking, even though it is bolt-on, it will require a little bit of fitment. Especially with OEM wheels.

With that said, please don't hesitate to reach out with any interest and/or feedback.
