Title: 2013 Explorer Sport died in traffic, cranks no start
Post by: savagefan on November 25, 2021, 04:20:57 PM
Hello, this is a hair-puller for me. 3.5 EB cranks and fires a little but will not keep running 1300psi fuel rail pressure, spark will jump 1 inch on a tester. I am using OBDLink SX with OBDWIZ on my laptop and also Torque on my phone. (Learning how to use both as I go). It cranks at 350rpm indicated. Turned a new set of sparkplugs black real quick. If I unplug the Fuel Volume Control Valve on the HPFP, the engine fires better as the rail pressure drops and then quits when it's down to tank pressure 75psi or so. ECT IAT gibe with each other. This unit is definitely over-fueling I have no idea where to go next, all help most gratefully appreciated and thank you all in advance.
