So the company that makes the LED projection Ford logo for the puddle lamps is willing to make one with the SHO logo instead. How many of you guys would be interested? The cost would probably be the same as the Ford logo lights at $60 for pair. Let me know, I am in contact with them. Would be nice to provide a rough number of interested parties.
***Update***: They have responded back saying they are sending the images to their development guys and will get back with me later on what they come up with.
***Update***: ***UPDATE***: They have agreed to do it, but it will take around 10 days or so for the first batch to be done. I asked for a rendering or sample of what they have come up with. I will post as soon as I get a picture.

Thanks BPD1151 for the link!
Will it be the same 'SHO' type font as current on the 2010's & up....??
If so, then I'm in for at least 1 pair, likely 2.

Yes, I sent them images of font styling of the gen4 and gen5 SHO's... they responded back they would be willing to make them. Just waiting on more information from them. I figured the Gen 1/2/3 styling wouldn't be a good fit...
These are the two images I provided them for styling.
In for at least 1 pair then.
Go post this over on SHOForum too for more interest and/or committed purchases.
i'd be in for a set of them. since plug & play. i know bpd can't be on fb but the fb page ecoboost enthusiast has a strong sho following so might get some more hits there. my self would actually like white background color instead of blue but wouldn't keep me from buying a set.
Ford will be switching over to LED puddle lamps soon. Don't expect them to be brighter than the incandescents, but let's see.

I have it posted on the Ford Taurus SHO Owner Club on the book of face. I have approx 15 that said they would be down for a set... granted... posting on facebook vs opening your wallet are two very different things...
In any event, its apparent the interest is there.

If that link is not helpful for that vendor (sometimes when images are magnified, the ends are left pixel-ated etc.) LMK.....
I think I have an extra set of the 'SHO' letters that Classic Cars Ken made for my interior doors left over.
They're black vinyl, and the edges maybe possibly be crisper than the images found online.
They may BORROW them for this project as long as they're returned (I recall Ken saying he was going to stop making the hood stripes and those letters, so I need to keep them on hand in event of an accident, etc. **cringe**).
LMK If needed, I can start searching them if so.

I appreciate the offer! However, I would not feel comfortable sending something out to a company I don't know with the expectation of getting them back. I suspect this is all done China...

I would be down for a set so count me in.
You should get a custom set BJSHO, that has the BJ added in to the logo. This seems like an awesome opportunity for everyone who still has a SHO though, for sure!
Just to be clear, as much as I like a BJ, no more than the next guy, I only want my logo to reflect 'SHO' exclusively.
Please omit any homage, direct or otherwise, of a BJ in my set(s).
LOL :thumb:

that accident always worried me as well that's why i grabbed your front grills at the '15 sho convention, still in my basement as insurance. mike was thrilled you made them available.
I would be in for a set myself, thanks for doing the legwork. Great idea!
Sounds good to me.

PM (reply) sent.
***UPDATE***:I sent an email asking if it was just to angle of the photo but to verify that..
A: The "S" is actually straight or if it needs to be tweaked
B: The "O" is off and has a pronounced flat spot on the bottom as opposed to the top.
Plus a few special comments from BPD1151..
Hopefully its just the angle but waiting on a response. I don't want something that is not correct.
***Update*** ICBM Performance said they will make the adjustments requested and provide an update.
I did inquire about a group purchase. They are willing to do it as well. I asked for a price if 20-25 people purchased. I have 50+ interested... I am assuming less than half will actually purchase.
I am waiting for the updated image... but if you are seriously willing to pay let me know. Don't make me look a fool!

I am keeping it simple... They asked if white as good as they cannot project silver well. I said that was good... The log is very simplistic so I am trying to keep with that.
On the book of face I am getting all kinda of requests... so for now I am just working with them on a simple (yet true to the original logo) design and getting the font correct along with spacing.
Looking like we have around 41 serious buyers at this point including the facebook sites....basically people that have said they "definitely in" I have a list going at this point in a spreadsheet... I was not anticipating this positive of a response.
I am hoping for a decent discount based on the volume. And have requested a link for a group buy once the finished product is available.
Is it to late for me to get in? I will definitely pay the stock puddle lights are awful.

If we can get a good resolution with the SHO puddle lights w regards to quality, I would like to get some made up for the Edge as well. We have been looking for a while, tried out different vendors, but alas, they do not seem to last.
Working it... heard from the vendor last night... looking like $50 a set.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Very fair.
$50 is more then reasonable
They normally see for $60 but because these are "custom" they usually charge more.. but if they can get 20+ people buy they will only be $50

I'm in for 50$ a set
I'll be in for $50 a set also.
Lmk if you need more info from me for the spreadsheet record keeping.
Sweet! I think between materials and time I have that much in my current set when I converted them to LED....
***Update*** I received the second mock up. This is the vector image I received that they are going to use to make the film prints that go into the led projector puddle lamps. This to me is spot on so I said send it. Looks much better IMHO. I'm sure the next set are going to be much more true.
Knowing how this process works, basically take the first mock up coloring but use this image instead for the font and style. This should be a win/win!

Winner of multiple awards across the country for top micro/craft brews.
Becoming pricey, but still worth the purchase IMHO.

Gumballhead was the beer of choice last summer during my best friends bachelor party. One of the best craft brews on the market IMO
Please no more beer business talk....I am not a fan of most small brews, they don't really hop their beer but use a hop extract which is a cheap way to brew and doesn't product a fine taste. Also most small brew places (hate calling them breweries, they are not) tend to brew ales which are much easier to make than a true lager or pilsner. For my taste ales and their top fermenting yeast don't make it give me a beer that has had the hops steeped to extract flavor and body and the bottom fermenting yeast of a lager.
Gosh, see what spending 30 years in the beer industry does, I think it was worst than working as a CO......

Thanks SBS for all the leg work on this.
Just happy to do something for the SHO community. Unfortunately the SHO world is small and always gets left out of cool stuff like this... I hope these are as good a quality as they pictures they are providing...
Being in Canada sucks. $37.69 for shipping! Almost as much as the lights.....ugh.
Come visit the U.S.!
***UPDATE***: ICBM emailed me. They ordered 50 sets initially and those are just about gone. They will need to order more from their supplier once the first 50 are gone. This will add some delay to the process if you are order 51 and beyond. Just a heads up.

Although I sheepishly have to admit this is the first mod I have ordered for the SHO in a fair amount of time....been spending mod money on the Mustang GT to get it up to my satisfaction. Feels good getting something for my SHO.
SBS and to think there was some doubt on how many would actually order. LOL , 10 hours in and almost sold out. Awesome!

You did a lot of the work and thanks again, but at least you should carry some weight with them when you contact them. I bet they never thought they would sell out when you first contacted them about this project!
Just got a shipping notification, hopefully they will be installed this weekend
mine also are shipped there in york Pa, hoping to get them before i leave for Carlisle.........
Mine are scheduled to arrive June 1st, so no go for the National's for me for this item.
Oddly, my cop order from MSD is set to arrive then as well.
Mine are also scheduled for June 1 delivery....maybe if BPD makes some outragous consession I would allow him to have my set, but then he would have to send me his set...and who knows what else......
Ditto. Shipped and Arriving the 1st as I live near by.
They look good. I still need to tweak the rotation to get them right but I love them!
Also noticed the red LEDs come on and go off randomly. Just throwing that out there in case anyone else sees this.
Look good.
Could be brighter.
So just installed mine, drivers side is perfect no issues.
Then I decided it might be a good idea to document the install to make it easier for others.
As bpd1151 stated start by putting both mirrors in the full up position.
Position prying device in the clip towards to front of the vehicle. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180604/47f4b9f41c8b9c026a435eaa38f3ceac.jpg)
Then gently pull this area down slightly
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180604/4e7dd57c5cd5ecebf7b081bf97373a71.jpg)
Then push in from inside behind the mirror on the other clip, you cannot see this from under the mirror.
The light will then fall down.
I chose to slightly re-crimp the push on terminals and apply some dielectric grease
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180604/d78431a709270dc5ee95ccbb1bbc71f6.jpg)
Then push back in place and enjoy.
But then........the passenger side only lights up red.
SMH.........
Contact the seller....that makes 4 out of 50 with issues that I know of....
I am very disappointed to say the least...

To everyone that purchased the SHO puddle lights. I worked through ICBM Performance on eBay which is the same company that makes the Ford symbol projector lights. If you don't like the product you received or are having a problem please contact them. I was not involved in making them or have any financial gain with these.
There have been 4 people I know of that have had an issue myself included(the adjuster screw on the passenger side broke). I will be more than happy to contact them as well if you are having a problem.
From the small few that have had an issue, from what I understand, ICBM has stated they will replacement when they get more in stock this week.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
***Updated***: I received an email back from the company ICBM Performance. They told me to let everyone know they are really sorry for the defective sets that were sent out and PROMISE replace them when they get the second batch this week. They think because they pushed their supplier to get the first batch out ASAP, it caused some issues.
So at this point, just make sure if you did receive a bad set, to let them know.
@ SBS Due appreciate you keeping everyone up to speed with any ongoing issues ......
If you're having any issues please contact the seller as kindly mentioned ^^^ by SBS! TIA. Z
Is Light output an issue?
These are darker than OEM puddle lights.
I would let the seller know as said before. My set is really bright and clear, just the red lights come and go.
Some have complained about the light output... but unfortunately that tends to be subjective to the ambient lighting.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Too much light would fade the graphics, unless the graphics are actuallly composed by the LEDs. A tradeoff ...
I missed the first run hopefully they get a bunch more in and I can get in on the second round
The next batch is available... they said they worked with the supplier to make sure these have been through a more rigorous QC process...

I have no issues with mine, other than I don't get to see them on enough. The logo is sharp and clear and bright enough for my taste...I think they look freakin' awesome! I highly recommend you don't miss these, they sure do add a nice touch and are subtle enough that only car people will appreciate them.
Again, thanks to Steal Blue for making these happen...I honestly never thought I would see a vendor offer these for the SHO.
i just ordered a set. to me if mark was ok with them i knew i'd be. thx again steelblue.
Just ordered my set I can't wait to see them. Thanks for all the work Stealbluesho

Agreed ^^. Mine have worked great for the last 2 years. Kinda surprised they haven't gone out yet.
Mine keep rotating around due to the vibrations from my sound system.
Annoying to say the least.
I've been debating gluing the adjustable screws and hoping doing so will keep them in place.
Tape has not worked.

Mine keep rotating around due to the vibrations from my sound system.
Annoying to say the least.
I've been debating gluing the adjustable screws and hoping doing so will keep them in place.
Tape has not worked.

I thought it was just mine that did that.
well with factory system mine have been great for almost a month now.
Actually forgot I had ordered OEM replacements from Tasca, which showed up last week.
