Post by: StealBlueSho on April 19, 2020, 05:15:18 PM
So here is a video that should put this whole thing to bed... I did a comparison video between Anthony DiCunzolo and South Side Machine Performance mounts...

Everything seems to anger people on that FB Group for some reason. Too emotional sometimes.

So what are the durometer ratings of each mount? Fair comparison ?

You compared the very soft "NVH" Hybrid SSM version to the ADM's. Same urethane Durometer / compound ? Nope. So of course they will not do the same things.

SSM has 4 durometer ratings and many configurations to select from. Just because they are not from ADM does not mean they suck. Also do we chastise part makers that are not from the Ecoboostperformance site? Meaning if there was only one set of Downpipes and someone else made them. Then those must suck.......

Having a selection of parts from different manufacturers is way better for the platform that being limited to buy it all from one place.......

I have that hybrid kit from SSM. They sent the bushings just for me to try. I never put them in because they did seem too soft and shallow. I used the race ones with no problem other than the come with the territory NVH... They do invite your feedback with your experience.

Please check out shoforum where I address this. As I agree, I did not clearly state my intent..

In short, long conversation with SSM, clearly relayed my build, clearly relayed expectations on not wanting to deal with wheel hop. Was sold the Hybrid mounts as the best of both worlds race/street bushings that eliminate wheel hop. Wheel hop...
