Ok Dunn question... But opinions wanted...

I put 24inch wheels on my truck with toyo proxes 255/30/24 tires.
Kinda jumped the gun on the wheels(even tho I love them)
But the question is, can I do the HR lowering springs with the 24's without having any suspension issues??
This truck is my daily driver
Thx

man, I bet that thing rides like a railcar.  Lowering springs will only make it worse.

I def think it'd look better lowered... springs aren't gonna hurt anything.

I actually have no issues with the ride right now.  I would like a little more side wall, but I can't find anyone that makes one for a 24x9.5.. I don't know much about tires.
So does anyone know if a 285 35 zr 24 would fit a 24 x 9.5 wheel.
It looks the a 285 will fit a 10 in wheel, but not sure if it will still work??

How much do those puppies weigh each??? 70+ lbs????

Personally, I prefer (smaller) lighter wheels & tires than stock... May not look as great, but handling and stopping are much better.

Well the stock wheels and tires weighed 74lbs each...
These are lighter than stock. With that said, since I'm not a racer the truck handles just fine.
I'm just having fun with my ride.
Thx

Yes, a 285 fits a 9.5" perfectly.
Most people, including FoMoCo, run a 275 on 9" wheels... so another 1/2" of wheel will accommodate 10mm of rubber easily.

I run a 255/35 on my sho's stock 8" wheels, they look square. Not too wide or skinny.

Thx man...
I wish I could see what it would look like on the wheel. And how it would look on the truck..
I'm gonna take with my wheel guy

If you're happy that's all that really matters.  Like I say around my kids and grandkids... "If PAPA ain't happy... nowbody's happy...!!!"

I didn't realize stock Explorer 20's were that heavy.  My 20" Flex wheels/tires were 62 lbs ea.  They are one size smaller, but one larger than SHO which also weigh 62 lbs.

Actually the short sidewall should help handling and turn-in.  If the ride isn't lots stiffer, H & R's will stiffen it up quite a bit.  However, I run H & R's and Max Performance tires at the high end of their PSI range and like the stiffer ride.

I just spoke with my wheel guy and he said the 285 35 zr24 won't fit.
Said th 285 is too wide.
Not sure if he said it because that is what the wheel rep is telling him or not??
I would like to lower the truck, but I don't want to have a stiffer ride than I do now...
So I may just leave it as is..
Thx guys
