I really appreciate the info yall.  Having a real tough time with things between the wife and I.  May end up divorced.  So I'm totally using you guys as my guides to drown my sorrows in go-fast car parts, should things go poorly at home.  I Figure that just upgrading these kind parts on the MKS is a lot more financially responsible than running out and getting a Chevy SS or something silly, lol.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

However, if I am going to drop said money on turbos, HPFP, and DP's, we are going head hunting.

Well yeah, 100% agree.  With that setup, you'd be obligated to give ethanol a try, just to satisfy curiosity, lol.  I'd give it a try as well.  But I certainly wouldn't be running e30 on every fill up, on the car that I drive to work every day.  That sounds like a nightmare.  That's why my curiosity is around how fast you can reasonably get when it's set up exactly the way that you drive to work every day.

Do you have E85 readily available? Mixing E30 takes about three mins more then just a regular fill up.  I only have like six gas stations in the Phoenix Metro area that carry E54 out of the pump.  I don't daily my SHO, so E30 is perfect for me and why I willing to put it on the edge.

Nah, E85 is in the general area, but a bit out of the way.  Plus this is my only car, so when I go on a road trip I can't rely on E85 being handy at all times.  And I'm lazy, lol.  I want the car to be fast, but also about as easy to deal with as possible.  I don't mind wrenching on it to replace something every now and then.  But for day-to-day, I like simplicity.  And I'm willing to live with it not being as fast as other folks who are willing to put in that little bit extra.

See this is the beauty of a E30 tune and working with Brad.  If want the power and reliability go E30.  If you can't get E30 in the area you are in...change the tune back to the 93 octane tune.  Mixing is easy and the power without knock is worth every penny.

Any tuner can get you E30, 93, 91 tunes that you can swap out as needed...

Or with Gearhead it's just an E30 tune and Auto Octane tune.

With 93 and the auto octane tune with his bigger turbos you are looking at around 480awtq/460awhp which are great numbers.

Anytime man.  My wife and I are going through a real tough time too, and we may also end up divorced. I was going crazy on the SHO, but since I am down 60% of what used to be total take home income I have had to curb my spending.  Since the MKS is your daily, I would hold off going bonkers on it.  You knock out a trans, that is a minimum 4k, ask me how I know.

I personally would get another cheaper daily if you want to keep modifying the MKS.   A used Honda Accord ect are great.  Cheap to purchase, cheap to operate, cheap to insure. I have a 2013 Focus ST.  Completely stock, minus the FRP calibration.  Averaging 30.3 miles combined.  It is a riot to drive and I really like it.  The SHO is driven sparingly, and living like a garage queen.

It is what it is.  I am glad that I set myself to be in a position, even losing so much income, that I am alive and well.  I have the house, the dog, and the SHO. Yes things get tight, but nothing that can't be adjusted.

Sounds like a dream to me, the dog and SHO will never go through your phone, give you a ton of crap as soon as you walk through the door after a long day, they don't criticize you, judge you and give you attitude for no reason.  Whatever you put in you get back 10 fold.  Always there for you no matter what.  ...the list goes on and on

I am special I guess.  I truly love my wife and I hope we can reconcile. There are outside contributing factors (infidelity isn't one) to why we are in the position we are in.  Time heals all I guess.

My concerns going that deep in are how the rest of the drivetrain will enjoy that much torque.  lol

Currently running the Firestorm 40 HPFP, GH Intercooler, misc bolt ons, and GH Gen3 turbos will arrive next Wednesday. Pending no other delays, I'm expecting to have everything broken in, running e30, drag and dyno tested by the second week of July. Stay tuned! Thinking with some actual data logging i should squash the Olson mks "records".. ;)
