Hey guys I have a 2010pp and I have a brake issue. Front left I have one pad, the inside, completely worn down and the outside has plenty of material. So I figure good time to upgrade. From what I've read a 13+ rotor and caliper is a must or my year. The thing is there's so many brand options an was wondering if you could give me specific brand and part #s for calipers, rotors and pads, for a good daily driver setup. Low dust and quite being my priority as well as a little better brake performance , as I don't track it or anything. Really want to order soon so help needed asap. Thanks

Welcome, Dhark, glad to have ya here!  I keep saying this over & over, I feel like I have become a nag, LOL!  But maintenance is the foundation of performance.  In the case of brakes, at least annually you MUST grind rust off the caliper slide pins, bolts, etc.  Use Permatex Ceramic Extreme grease to lube 'em all up.  Replace the rubber boots if need be.  If the pins are not sliding freely, you will see more uneven wear than need be.  A brake flush every 2-3 years is also very good to do.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Yes especially up here in Ma! I have only had it a 1.5 yrs. brakes never did feel right just procrastinated at looking until this past week it started grinding. I cleaned the pins and greased em up and switched the good pad to the inside for the time being. That's why I want to order new stuff ASAP! Still looking a solid suggestion.

Any thoughts on the power stop z23 rotor and pad kit from rock auto? Gonna get the for PP calipers and brackets.

The kit is decent for a moderately driven DD, occasional trips to the dragstrip.  But I think the Z23 pads lack a bit of muscle for challenging roads, the Z37 would be better suited, but i hear alas no longer available ...

When I upgraded, I went with EBC Yellowstuff PP pads and with their dimpled/slotted rotors. I have been completely happy with the new setup. Works fine but not inexpensive.  I found the best brake prices at The Place For Brakes in Miami. When I ordered they offered free shipping on orders over $100.00, which was a great deal with the weight of the rotors and pads.

FYI, myself and others have had bad experiences with the Z23 kits for 2010-2012. You might be ok if you are going to the do the 2013+ upgrade first.  I pulled the z23 kit off my fronts in less than a year because with a little braking at highway speeds they heated up, vibrated and felt like garbage.  I swapped to Akebono pads and premium solid rotors from my local parts store and the difference was night and day.  I don't experience any of the problems I had with the Z23 kit.

Well after some lengthy research and tons of paralysis analysis I settled on the following parts.

Rotors; Raybestos 680982     $159.62 shipped EBay
Calipers; Motorcraft BRCF 208/209  $59.42 each shipped no core! ebay
Brackets;  Motorcraft BRBC  28/29  $33.80 & $34.76 shipped EBay
Pads;  Akebono performance ASP1611a  $71.45 shipped RockAuto

Couple other questions I haven't seen answered. I know the dust shield has to come off but have you guys replaced it with the 13+ dust shields or just leave it off? Also do I need any new bolts or anything else small I'm forgetting?

I would suggest staying away from Motorcraft rotors, they are very soft and we have had problems with them on every Ford we have owned since the mid 90's.  If you have already ordered them, be prepared to replace them in about 30K miles (or less)

I think they are G3000 material.  Maxbrakes makes G3500 material.  Other brands do too I am sure.

Late to the part on this one and hope you are happy with the change in brakes.  As one of the first to go that route after still not being happy with the 13+ Master/Booster upgrade, I wonder what Ford was thinking putting brakes for a 3500lb car on a 4400lb car.

For the parts, I did nearly the exact same thing except I used the Raybestos EHT pads.  I've done 2 track days at Desert Raceway in CA about 2 years ago...still have about 1/3 the life on the pads after doing the change in 2014.  Far more confidence in the car and just easier feel on the brakes.

Good to see the parts actually went down in price a little too.  They were slightly more when I purchased.
