Hey all!

I'm hopefully picking up a 2014 SHO tomorrow. However, I noticed one odd detail. It looks like the last year Ford used the "T" style shifter was 2012. It looks as if 2013 and 2014 have the smaller sleeker shifter. From the photographs I've been looking at, this 2014 seems to have a 2010-2012 style shifter handle. The car is definitely a 2014. It has the newer steering wheel, newer grille/headlights/wheels. The VIN is a legit 2014 in CarFax. However, this is really throwing me off. I know enough about these cars to be dangerous, but I definitely do not know all the nuanced details. Can anyone help me out with what may be going on here?

Previous owner likely just swapped out the OEM shifter (from the 2013's and up) to that of the 'T' handle style from the '10-'12 model years.

I recall some grumblings (over the years) on the various forums about owners of the 13's and up, liking the '10-'12's, and vice versa.
