I need a good shop to tune my sho I went to a place in v.a and iam a lil upset I have meth direct inject hot pipes  bov down pipes full corsa t.s 3 map cai plugs h&r springs and I got 348 and 388 I think something is wrong

AJP turbo

What kind of dyno? Even if it's s mustang dyno that does seem really low. Did they seem familiar with ecoboost? Have they tuned them before?

A shop with a dyno isn't always necessary for tuning anymore. Main benefits of a dyno is the fact that it gives a safe legal place to test at speed.

Dynos are nice for cam tuning and many other things but for the average tune of a late model car with common mods a dyno just isn't necessary like it used to be

I wouldn't be consurned with the numbers as long as they are making the final numbers better then the starting numbers is where I'd care about

Now that shop you may not want to bring business to if you know they are doing this and may have a problem with Ford's,Ecoboost or just a Taurus putting out certain numbers if for whatever reason they are purposely not tuning your engine to it's full safe potential they know how to do.

Any chance of a datalog?   the key things to check are spark values, STFT values and IAT2 temp values.

thanks everybody yea I am using unleashed tunning my car currently night and day difference and hes not even fully done and the t.b had to go to direct inject meth the 2017 changed the intake manifold another ? with direct inject how much consumption are you going threw I've used 1 gallon in 3 days 250 miles including data logging but I still feel like that's alot

I live in Norther VA... where did you go? PTuning? There is another shop in Springfield....

However, there are no Ecoboost specialists in the area that are any good... good at taking your money... not good at tuning..

True, but if there is someone with a dyno that knows how to tune these cars, a one and done is worth the money IMHO..

Dyno is best for doing your first set of tuning but then if you want every last bit of engine potential you need to road tune.

if you are running WoT multiple times per day for extended times,  yeah you will go through the meth FAST.

I run just under 600ML on my nozzel .. so :

1 gallon = 3875ML
600ML per minute

it will take me 3875\600=6.45 minutes to go through my tank. 

BTW lots of speed shops sell 'their brand' of Meth.. it is the same stuff sourced from the same tanks,  just cheaper.  Case in point VP M1 here in Eugene oregon costs 45$ a can .. the speed shops meths in 'their can' is 34$.   always check race shops to see if they have their 'own meth'

Yea.. in Fairfax... only place in the area that has a linked dyno jet... or so they said over the phone. I was unaware they dabbled in Ecoboost tuning....

They did mechanically link the rollers during your dyno session?

Have not tried any enhanced coils.  Maybe one of the other senior members?
