Daaaamn it!  Anyone have any feedback on that tire?  I had planned to run Firehawk Indy 500 summer tires in that size.  But hard to pass up $95 instead of $170

I have these in a 245/45 20 and the ride is firmer than I'm used to. I have a PP so I don't really want a firmer ride but the tire is over-all responsive with turn in, and grip is there when pushed in the corners. I have no idea what bad weather conditions are like since I try not to drive it in snow or rain.

My concern with these is if you're looking for a 40 series (like these listed) they would be too firm. Especially when they wear half way, you'd probably want to replace them early; which negates your savings and longevity.

They also want to "track" on concrete and follow the grooves which can get annoying. On asphalt they are great and really pretty quiet in general (no pun).

I'd go for the Indy's. I've heard great things about these and wish I'd gotten them. If you need all season though, maybe step up to a 45 series in these?

Next time you need tires, go with a 255/45/20 as that should help it ride a touch better.
I agree, the 255 was a welcome improvement over the wearing Michelin's that came on it. Much better ride and it's not a PP, you guys with a PP must feel like your rolling down the road in my leaf sprung one ton truck.
Mine does not feel like that.  Least not anymore since I removed the H&R's and went back to stock springs.
Well, maybe I was being a fuzz dramatic.. I've really enjoyed driving this car. I hope she gets another.

All four shipped. We shall see if they are for real.

Not gonna install right away. I want to burn up the OEMs more and have super fresh new tires for the winter.

I've ordered tons of tires from amazon, from ATV and motorcycles, from cars to 35" mud tires, never had an issue.

Yeah mine shipped the day after order.  Due in on Thurs.  Not sure if I will wait to swap them or not.  we shall see.

Wife and I drove a lot over the past week. I will say I will have these on in October. Lost more tire than I thought we would. Maybe 500 to 1000 more miles. Better to use up the old ones. 39k on the OEMs isnt terrible.

Macgyver

I got all 4 tires today. They look super. I hope they fit.

They are really wide as we knew they were. 11" inside to outside.  :pat:

Inside bead is 8 3/4". That should not be a problem on the Flower rim.

The lower strut support is very close when you reach in and look at it. Nothing a small spacer cannot handle but people have said these will fit.

You are trying to mount them on flowers?  I though min width for 275's was 9"?  I hope it works for you.

Well this guy has em mounted on them as a few others in this forum.

Zoom in on the pics and you can tell.
You'll probably notice some odd wear by the time the tread starts getting low, but it shouldn't be horrible.

Mine landed just now.
Need another week to let suspension settle then take her in for alignment and tire swap.

275s should not be on a 8" wide wheel. I guarantee the manufacturer does not approve running a wheel that narrow on 275.

These are 275s so a 40 series is about the same sidewall as 245/45s.

I ran 275/45/20's on 20x8 rims for about 100k miles without issue.  Should be more than fine IMO.

Yes.  I had my '02 Explorer (hence my username) for 10 years and put 145,000 miles on it before I sold it to buy my MKS.  That was two sets of Hankook Ventus ST RHO6 tires on 20x8.5 Boss 306 rims that I had powdercoated "Superchrome."  I actually miss it a lot!

Edit- Realized I said 20x8 in the first post.  Meant 20x8.5 which is obviously more forgiving.

Just an FYI in case people were curious, these are not "old stock".  Not sure why they would have them on such a super sale, date codes on mine are all 1018 so made in March of this year.
