Help identity oil leak

Bah, ate my post.

Light residue in the PCV separator.
Was unable to find any cracks in the compressor discharge or intake pipe.
The compressor wheel turned smoothly with no in/out or side-to-side play.
Where should I look next?
Possibly a leak on the turbo oil supply line on the engine side?


Forum is giving me problems, working on posting pictures.

Oil Sep issue!  The Oil Sep appears to be full and should be evacuated IMO.
PCV checked ? R U VTA ? Return back to stock and see if your symptoms still persist.  How many miles ?  Z

Very light oil coat inside it, removed it from car and nothing dripped out. Will get another picture.


Still hoping that is all it is though.

Went out and snapped another pictures. I feel stupid now.


This morning there was nothing I could see in it, just a little coat. Now a puddle can be seen in it.


Will order a new separator and PCV valve. I am  VTA, so will put that back to stock and keep an eye on it. :)


Thanks ZSHO, always super helpful with troubleshooting, posting manuals/how-to, parts leads, and the list goes on and on.

I would also Check the CAC (Intercooler) for oil pooling.  Btw fixed the ^^^ PIC for ya.  :)  Best of luck . Z

Already know there is oil in there. =\


I cleaned CAC out last spring, will do it again when I install the new sep.


*side note*
It'll be really nice if the oil on the PTU is from the separator failing as well. I'm anxious to change the PTU fluid again to see how much I pull out

Seeing that you're VTA some if not all of it might be from the blow off valve.
Before I installed a catch can
I had similar but not as severe oil "mist " on everything near the fire wall. 
It's probably the natural blow by from the turbos that gets into the intake track just blow out as the blow off valve opens.

As Z said check the intercooler with your oil dip stick by removing the throttle body intake hose connected to the intercooler.

I routed some 1" hose from my BOVs to underneath the car... Sounds louder more obvious and keeps any vapors out from the engine bay.
