Sucks where there placing the turbos. How much turbo lag is that although seems super small 20ilbs kd boost only adds 50 more hp.
Water-cooled topmount intercooler?

With the turbos in the valley, does that mean the heads flow "backwards"?

QuoteAt the center of the 4.2L Twin Turbo V-8 is a "hot V" configuration that transposes the conventional layout of the cylinder heads' intake and exhaust systems to mount the turbochargers at the top of the engine — in the valley between the heads — to virtually eliminate turbo lag and reduce the engine's overall packaging size.

In a conventional turbocharged engine, the cylinder heads receive the pressurized air charge through ports at the top of the engine and the exhaust exits through ports on the lower outside of the heads into manifolds connected to the turbochargers.

With Cadillac's innovative hot V design, the intake-charged air enters through the lower outside of the heads and exits through the top inside — where the turbochargers are integrated with the exhaust manifolds — for quick spool-up that translates into more immediate power delivery. The design also allows closer mounting of the catalytic converters, for efficient packaging.

Heres a shot showing the intercooler outlet heading over the valve cover:

Fords 6.7L PowerStroke is also a Hot-V setup.

Well, it's not the first Caddy engine to be in a hot V configuration....

My track pack mustang recommends 5w-50

The 0-40 for the caddy is good for all year and cold temps and hot ....the 0 gives it good flow for cold starts and they must want the 40 because the motor is hot so it needs a thicker old in order to give adequate oil press when hot due to the thinning effect from hot temps

If you run an engine hot enough you can make 50 weight oil flow like 20 weight

But what is the HTHS rating for 0 weight oils.  Seems inferior even in GF6 reformulations.

I too read that article with interest.
And that 2019 CT6 VSport looks great. Though, showed it to the wife and she said "Looks like an old man's car, is it fast or something?" Haha

I like the looks of it coming at you but don't care for the side or rear end.  And it looks like it sits too high?  MEH....
