From what I am reading, Dan at Livernois seems to be doing more custom mods to peoples tunes, like Torrie did for me. That may be why things are slower, especially if he has lots of customers wanting that kind of service. The ones I got a couple years ago and had updated to current strategy code, are the basic canned tunes, including 4+ - 93 octane. I believe that Rick was actually mating the strategy codes from purchasers to the canned tunes, which would account for the quick turn-around.
Essentially, logging and sending log to tuner, and having tune revised to support the data is sometimes better than a dyno, as it considers real world operating conditions, and things like wheel slip etc. However, it takes more time, especially turn around time, if you do the logging several times.
I'm sure you will be happy with the tunes that will arrive shortly.
Bob, you may be correct with this assessment and it also seems that the earlier cars were just a bit easier to tune. I have noticed that a fair amount of the '13's seem to have little problems (i.e.:shifting, starting, power loss) after getting a tune. Could it be that the 13's do need more of a custom tune touch then the earlier cars?
