2017 Lincoln MKZ Headlight Leak
« on: October 24, 2017, 12:21:03 AM »
No Gentlemen -- I cannot make this up. I think I will personally fill every category under the MKZ of this forum. LOL

After a bunch of rain up here in Wisconsin -- I noticed my passenger side headlight has moisture in it. It seems to only be in the LED portion of the headlights.

To fix or just wait for the lemon law..... that is the question......

Definitely needs replacement.  Probably a seal failure.  All too common to replace the LED assemblies on the taillights of the Gen 2 Edge for this reason.  "Fogging" is normal, droplet formation is not.
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

What's the matter? 8" + of rain last week, now another 2" + of rain between yesterday and today?

Meh, be lucky you're not rowing/paddling it around. LOL.

I've grown tired of all this rain myself, but as far as your head assembly, swap it out. Done. Enjoy the car again.
