Sometimes a TSS/OSS sensor or a solenoid body or even a trans range sensor issue can be responsible.  You can easily track with the X4.  When was trans fluid last changed btw?

sadly never.  no-one in town wants to touch it.. i have 3 years on a platinum warranty so i am prepped for a full on replacement eventfully.
Wait, you can't find anyone to do a simple drain and fill?

I have decided to turn off the meth for now.  It is too cold and I am wondering if the issue is the meth not vaporizing..  at 375ml maybe I am getting wet in the cylinder but not enough to misfire.  Weather in Oregon is moist as hell and cold so I am betting the meth is wasted a bunch as is .. bummed out.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Hopefully as simple as that, simple is GOOD!

I also think this kit is not what I needed. Push clamps, lines that deteriorate... Big mistake.

OFFS ... starting new thread.  Reverting to a non-meth tune does *not* solve the power fluctuations. Same issue...

Damn Internets and reasonable people being right ...

need to get a good log first but the hiccups continue in when not on meth and on a non-meth tune.   I need to let a tank of gas go through 1st to make sure.

I think you might as well install new (COP) while checking your plugs for good measures.  Z

If you have never changed out your plugs then these are a must! Usually the local Ford parts places have these available.. they were $2.95 a piece at my local dealership... they usually have them available.

Thanks guys.. It is on the list now.

New boots
New COP
New plugs... IF they look burnt or white or the electrode is damaged.  I did the plugs previously when I had the non-meth tune.   what a pain in the ass they were too.

That flat gasket slides over the post on the COP and goes to the top of it. Most likely you will not need it. Don't forget some dielectric grease and anti-seize..

X2 with SBS ^^ and only the Coil on (boot) needs to be replaced preferably with the the Motorcraft/NGK brand.- X6 Boots needed @ $3.91 ea.

Simply remove the ignition coil.
Gently remove the bottom portion of the boot by gently pulling/twisting it outwards while taking the necessary precautions in not damaging the spring inside the boot.  Z

Should i get 3 replacement plugs just in case ???  ... I'd hate to take the time to get the boots put (#$%^ing pain the ass last time) and then have to do it 2x because of bad plugs ..

but i cant see needing 6x plugs ..  would 3 plugs be a safe bet ?
