Spring preload on coilovers...

Ok, so I have been doing some basic googling trying to wrap my head around finding the sweet spot with the coilover.

So here is my thought... obviously on the non-pp cars you can't fully disable advance track so when drag racing, when the car picks up too much in the front causing the wheels to spin, AT kicks in...

So my thought is to preload the rear springs on the coilovers at around 1 inch of preload. This will keep the rear from dropping too much coming out of hole which will also keep the front end down with less weight transfer from front to rear...

That's one theory... hoping someone with more knowledge can step in and help clarify if I have this bass akwards..

And another question... if I had the preload set already, and I raise the rear springs, wouldn't that in effect compress the springs further? Or will the preload remain the same?

Buy stiffer springs.  Preload will shorten suspension travel which is a bad thing.
