Hola.

Purchased my 2013 SHO in Metallic Green Gem in April this year, with 28k miles.

Its now my daily so I can park my cobra swapped cop car and get it fixed after a catastrophic leanout.

Haven't done much to the SHO. A Livernoise tune with a 160 thermostat. On 91 since nowhere I've been to or where I live has 93. We have a sunoco with 100+ but no 93.

Just here for information and stuff really.

I've often wondered what hp figures are with a 91 LMS tune are. I got to play with a Focus RS on the highway headed to Vegas for my honeymoon. With the trunk and backseat full to the brim, he could barely pull away from me. By 135 at my limiter he was about 30 ft ahead.

Why does our car not have full time AWD like the Fusion sport?

How in gods name do I reduce under hood temperatures? Its 115° in Vegas and its like a million degrees under the hood.

Does any one offer custom vented hoods for these things?

If not how to install a GT500 esque heat exchanger in the hood, or vents.

From here I have seen downpipes are a great mod, intakes suck (no pun intended), and exhaust can be really raspy, I want flow master hp-2's honestly.

Where I have live, I have only ever seen a Green Gem metallic SHO online, or in my garage. Is the color a less favored option? It seems much more rare than say, red, or blue, or black.

I feel Ford really dropped the ball design wise with the SHO model. It looks no different than a base model SE. I feel the SHO needed beefier fender flares. A different front and rear fascia to aesthetically set it apart. Something besides wheels and a goofy tiny SHO badge to denote a car that isn't a slouch by any means. The intake sound is lackluster. And the exhaust is granny central stuff. Lol like it needed a bit more growl. I'd like to hear the turbos. I did the BOV mod but even with a tune and more boost its still very quiet and doesn't blowoff during acceleration unless I let off the throttle. Can we install an aftermarket BOV and boost controller?

Welcome Jdkzombie!!
Beautiful gem you have there. I don't know the exact color breakdown but gem green is the rarest color.
I would start with removing the engine cover, that thing holds in a ton of heat.
I only use mine in the coldest NE OHIO winter months.
I would check out bpd1151 hood vents on here. He had his custom shop do them.

Aftermarket bov and hot pipes can be installed but as far as I know the old bov need to stay connected to not throw a CEL.

Welcome, Jdkzombie, nice ride :thumb:  I have 2 green SHOs in my past, btw, LOL!

Why does our car not have full time AWD like the Fusion sport?
Does the Fusion Sport have full time AWD?  It is not really necessary and a drag on fuel economy.  Ford's on-demand AWD is very quick to respond.  More importantly, a lot of power can be sent to the rear, essentially reaping the benefit of AWD, on 2013+ models.

How in gods name do I reduce under hood temperatures? Its 115° in Vegas and its like a million degrees under the hood.
One option is to take off the engine cover.  I don't know if I would remove the weatherstrip by the firewall tho, due to dust issues.  If you regularly detail underhood though, you could do that also.  People from that climate zone will have better ideas than me LOL.

Does any one offer custom vented hoods for these things?
No, you have to get them custom installed.  Though I believe a carbon fiber hood IS available from shosource.com

Ask bpd1151.  He is the guru on this topic and many others!

From here I have seen downpipes are a great mod, intakes suck (no pun intended), and exhaust can be really raspy, I want flow master hp-2's honestly.
Flowmasters can have drone issues at certain rpm's so pick carefully.  Downpipes I would go with PPE or Livernois.  Stainless Works looks good but can have rasp issues.

Where I have live, I have only ever seen a Green Gem metallic SHO online, or in my garage. Is the color a less favored option? It seems much more rare than say, red, or blue, or black.
Probably not favored.  It was "overdone" on the Gen 2 SHO, so maybe they pulled back after!

I feel Ford really dropped the ball design wise with the SHO model.
The SHO has always been meant to be a sleeper.  Due to the low production numbers, however, it has been difficult to draw consistent aftermarket attention, except from a couple of quarters.  I prefer aftermarket anyway.  Build things to your own liking :D  You can probably get aftermarket TurboSmart type units to enhance the blowoff experience, or add custom sound devices that make duck calls etc ;)

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Thanks guys. Its not a PP model. I have adaptive cruise control instead, which is frikkin awesome btw, considering I do a lot of highway driving. 1600 in the last 48hrs mind you.

The original lease person of this car had all the bells and whistles, but no damn navigation.

$45,980 and no damn navigation. Can you believe that? And Fords Sync turn by turn directions is such a pain in the ass, even with the destinations mobile app, you still have to call sync, go through teeth pulling service, and then wait to download a map that freaks out and wants you to recall services and update every time you stray 25ft from the path it set. Lol

FWIW mine did not come with NAVI either and ordered a new APIM which needs to be programmed along with the latest A7 Maps from Jason@FordPIMods.com and has been working flawless for well over 2yrs now. Z
BTW only 405 were made in that Gem Green Metallic. Z

Awesome looking car. I love that color. I don't see hardly any around here in that color.

It is kind of surprising with all the bells and whistles including adaptive cruise, they didn't get navigation. I understand some people want to use their phone or another type of navigation, but I agree with you, it just sort of looks incomplete these days without the navigation.

For what it's worth, I had a 2007 Escalade that I ordered without navigation, and regretted it from the first day. At the time, I had a garmin navigation unit. My vehicle before the Escalade was a 2006 SRX that had navigation. Because that navigation system (in the SRX)  sucked, I decided I wasn't going to spend the money on another one in the Escalade. I neglected to really consider how bare the dash would look without it.

Is there any info as to what the average power gain is from a LMS tune is on 91?

I have seen some numbers vary.  and it also depends on the tune ''level''.   they have a hyper aggressive race tune that will have more power than their daily driving tunes,   and there are a few levels of daily driving tunes they have with varying power and shift strategy tunes.

as a SUPER ROUGH ballpark.  you will gain 80+ pounds of wheel torque and 40+ wheel horsepower.  Those are low almost worst case scenario numbers.

I would strongly advise calling them up and having a voice to voice chat for much better details.

I want to say almost the stage two option. I have a 91 performance tune (got 458 miles to e pretty much most of my highway trip which is fantastic coming from a 03 cobra swapped crown victoria). And I have their thermostat installed. Which I am glad I did since I'm in Vegas on my honeymoon and its 113° out right now.

I just asked because back home we only have conventional dyno's, none that are awd capable.

I've heard tell that we lose an assload of power when the awd system kicks in at launch and under hard shifts if there is wheel spin. And with TC off, there is a decent amount of wheel chirp for such a heavy car. Like stock dyno of less than 300 when awd is activated. Makes me wish the car was specifically rwd, or just full time awd like a subaru, I'd take the power hit.
