-25 pounds of air on fronts in my car was a time-loss. (for MY setup, others with better mods may benefit from 25 pounds)
-running with your hood popped does not help IAT2 temps at all, but also did not affect time. (I forgot it was up, and the line up guy missed it!)
-woodburns much longer higher speed return lane help my temps DRAMATICALLY. With a popped hood my IAT2 dropped from 160-130 every time.
-woodburns shorter queue allowed me to line up at 130 iat2, and launch at 140 iat2 all night.
-shutting down makes IAT2's WORSE. with a shut down the cylinder heads no longer dissipate, thus transferring heat to the intake and IAT2. i hit 160iat on restart and launched at 155 to a worse time.
-launching at 3000rpm in error is scary and makes loud scary noises
-the car can go into limp mode and NOT throw a code.. after launching at 3000rpm it disengaged the trans on the second major wheel hop. coasted to the pull out. shut down and restarted and all was fine.
-Ice on the intake and IAT2 works! (after about 35 minutes). dropped to a IAT2 of 120f. (double bag it for no leaks).
-people in lightly/Badly? tuned STI's get *really bent out* of shape when they see child seats driving past them and leave them behind.
