just wondering if anybody knows what CFM range our turbos run on an average tuned SHO? 14-16psi

AJP turbo

I think you should be able to log air flow or mass airflow its would be a DMR item in livelink.....you should be moving somewhere around 40lbs/min at that boost

Brad, do you know how our cars determine the airflow lbs/min? Is there a MAF style sensor for this or is it calculated by the tune?

No maf sensor.

Map sensor reads airflow ...map = speed density...if you know the pressure then the airflow can be calculated...there is an airflow model in the tune that ford basically did all the work to

Its around 40 pounds per minute at 15 psi roughly...but its not steady...because of the VE or volumetric efficiency of the engine at different rpm...15 psi at 4k might be 40 lbs min but 15 psi at 6k might be different

yea at 17 psi I'm getting just over 51 #/min at redline through the PID. I was just curious where that PID was getting it's information calculated from.
