Picked up a 2012 SHO a couple of weeks back. I believe it has every option. It has the PP. All the skirting, lower grill guard and mirrors were painted body color hence the handle of mine: "Silverer SHO". I wanted silver and I thought it looked nice painted this way. It needs tires and I think I'm going with Firehawk Indy 500's. The rims need to get some curb rash cleaned up so do not know what's going to happen there but it needs rubber SOON so for the time being they're going to wait to be cleaned up. Bought it with a stock Goodyear F1 on each corner and all seasons in the other corners. Ughhh .... Will be running 5w-30 Castrol GTX Magnatec with Fram Ultra Synthetic oil in about another 1,000 miles. Plan to go 5,000 miles on the oil and 10,000 miles on the filter. Looking to replace the PTU unit in a few thousand miles. The car has 42,000 miles on it. Plenty left to go hopefully. On the trip home from getting the vehicle I could never get the stereo to sound very good. Discovered the tweeters were pulled before it was traded in. I suppose they installed after market ones and wanted them for their next vehicle. Got a pair at the scrapper the other night and I'll just have to glue them in to my existing trim and plug in the speakers. Plan on venting the blow off valves to atmosphere in the next week and then off to tuning, meth, gauges etc. etc. Over the summer. Wish me luck. ;)

Welcome to EBPF and congrats on the new ride!

Let me know what you think about the Firehawks, I've been thinking about picking up a set for summer, reviews seem to be quite favorable.

I copied the introductory text from another forum so it's outdated.  I actually had them installed last Friday.  $745 out the door at a Firestone Service Center.  Yes, all the reviews I read were pretty positive.  I drove in some heavy rain last night and couldn't believe the wet traction they have.  They don't seem to make much noise either.  Other than that I don't know what to compare them to since I haven't had dedicated summer tires in over 20 years on a '95 Z-28 back when 16" rubber was considered big.  So far I like them.

I would be interested in seeing a Blackstone report on the Magnatec oil after 5K.   Isn't it conventional oil?

2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

5w-20 is full synthetic and 5w-30 WAS a blend.  Now 5w-30 is full synthetic too from what I've found out.  Lots of good reports on Magnatec in Ecoboosts on https://www.bobistheoilguy.com with used oil tests to back it up.

So it looks like 10w-30 is still a blend.  I'm sure there are a few jugs of 5w-30 still floating around that may be a blend too so I better be careful.
