Did you give time for OAR to set? I'm guessing no... that will have a direct influence on ET..

None the less, great post!!! Thanks for the information!!

And do you have a dead man switch for the meth?

I had been running the Unleashed 91 meth tune for a while, including my trip to the track.  But for the other tunes, it was pretty much tune & go.  I didn't even let the car cool as much as I should have.

No failsafe on the meth, pretty much your standard install, except for the the tank & pump location in the trunk.  I did fill my 3 gal meth tank before I left, so there was no danger of running out of meth, aside from a pump failure.  Using 100% Sunoco RM-99 methanol.

I guess my question was phrased wrong. Lol...

When you turn the meth off, is it a simple switch? On the Alky kit, I have turn the gain to off, which means if I want to run it, I need to dial it in again...

I have the same Alky controller.  I turn the gain off to turn off the meth.  I have it set at 6 when I run with meth.  I suppose it would be simple enough to wire in a switch to the controller (or remove my fuse tap or relay), but I haven't done that.

How were you re-populating the OAR values between tunes?   When I switched tuned at the track it never fully reset until half way home on a 2 hour drive.

Trick to get OAR to max out quick....

Monitor knock and OAR on your SCT device...

Get into a cruising gear....

Give part throttle and watch your knock sensor.. keep the accelerator pedal steady until the knock sensor reads -4.00 for a few seconds..

Let up off the gas pedal...

OAR should start to go negative..

Rinse and repeat until you get to -.96 on the OAR.

Simple answer: I didn't.  All of my logs show an OAR of -0.96.  Each time I changed fuel, I added octane, so octane-induced knock shouldn't have been an issue.  In the future, I expect I'll just run one tune at the track.

Though now that you mention it, that could have something to do with the AJP result in run 3.  I did hit 3.75 degrees knock on that run.  Since I had previously been running with meth, then suddenly turned it off, I wonder if the ECU was expecting more octane, so it might have been too advanced for the fuel it was getting.  I did not reset the KAM between tunes.
